Enter Walrus makes a good point. I fully understand this is 07 RS, but adding in a trading post or GE, whatever you want to call it, is not going to destroy the game instantly. All it really does is allow people to put their time into doing other things than standing around in W1 getting trolled, or going on the Zyb forums to sort through offers for items. Why would I want to do that when I can spend my time PLAYING the game? Isn't that what the game is for, to play? I'd rather be doing my slayer task, or whatever you feel inclined to do, instead of sitting around trying to trade. It's pointless. People are probably going to say "go play RS3 you newb!" or "GE makes this just like RS3" but that is such an ignorant statement in my opinion**** was a nice update in my opinion. It just made gameplay more efficient, not easier. You may say it ruins player to player interaction but how many of you REALLY become friends with randoms you trade with? You probably just go, trade for your item, and go on your way. Trading Post would allow the same thing, only now it's faster and you don't have to interrupt what you're doing for as long. If you want to trade with people face to face, feel free to do so, but don't inhibit those who want to spend as much time immersed in gameplay as possible.

This may already have been said but I really like the way the current (non-existant) trading system "forces" player interaction. In my experience with the Grand Exchange upon its release back in the days there was a sudden change where I'd get the feeling that I was buying my items from a machine.

I don't like the idea of something like that happening, however the way you presented it *might* solve that issue.

I think there should be a %fee in order to use the Trading Post, I do not think it is necessary for trades to go through a system. Player to player interaction is vital.

Stop turning 07scape into a lame version of E.O.C

Work on Quests and Storylines and may full screen rs now, instead of these 2nd rate updates it was cute in the start its not anymore.

Ex. Stupid Autotype system annoying to turn on and off................

Merchants will just buy out items to control prices either way easier the before........ duhhhhhh

Hold on hold on everyone.

Trading post D O E S N O T E Q U A L grand exchange.

The reason people are against trading post is they feel like it ruins face to face interaction. On the trading post it is not completely automated, you know where you get your items from exactly how much the offer was for how much they're selling and everything else you know with the current system. You keep the interaction to the same extent as the current system! the only difference is you click "buy" instead of clicking "trade".

If you have ever played a game with an auction house type system like the trading post you will realize that it keeps player interaction. You can still message people to ask about their offers, ask for long term agreements etc.

G E was completely and totally anonymous. You had no idea where you got your items from.

Trading post you will know just as much about them as you do with the current system, except maybe what they're wearing. It won't just be a green bar that filled at your bank, it'll be a name and a real offer on the screen.

Trading post is not GE. It's much more personal than that!

How many times do you have to ruin game to see it wont work your way?

Classic was never "ruined" it was kept pristine and perfect like it was back in... 02?

Look where that game is now. It is D E A D. If osrs tried to be the new classic it would be dead and broken in a few years, O S R S does not have to die!

OSRS is a game about nostalgia, yes, but it is also about the players. It's about the players shaping the game into whatever they want it to be. There is no other game I can think of that has this democratic system O S does, it is applaudable, thankyou jagex for such a great game and giving us the option for change.

offers should only appear when player is online. I find it annoying that someone has something up, but never replys. No posts should be visible if a player is offline. Players should also meet up for the offers otherwise it's just like the Grand Exchange which i don't like. Also if a player only wants to buy some of whatever the player is selling then they should add the player and ask. Or if a player is selling some of whatever they should post "buy at a min X amount of (feathers)". No offers should be visible at all for either parties when offline.
