TRADING OUTPOSTS should be based inbetween each city

- when players contact each other through the trade outpost b/s list, then they go to their NEAREST trade outpost and they can teleport [similar to WILDY OBELISK TELES] to the outpost that the other play is at/ or it will mirror their character being there to allow them to trade quickly and then continue on with their game play

- players should NOT be able to trade THROUGH THE OUTPOST

- players should STILL MEET UP IN GAME to complete trade [we don't want a G/E - G/E ruined the game and player interaction]
Everybody 'round me saying I should relax 'cuz I've been going hard 'till my eyes roll back but,
all I wanna do is forget about my past and smoke a'lil ranarr, really nothing too drastic..

How neat would it be if there were a few instanced spaces where both players could walk into (while at two different trading posts) and trade their items?

Question: Should we introduce a trading post where you can post trade offers which will be visible to everyone? Offers will only appear when the seller is online and you will need to trade through the existing trading system.

Answer: No I want it to work for offline

Question: If we introduce the trading post, should players’ trade offers be visible when they are offline?

Answer: Yes

Question: If players' trades are visible when they are offline, should they be visible for more than 6 hours?

Answer: Until you take the offer down, or when the offer has bought or sold.

Question: If we introduce the trading post should players be able trade items through it rather than having to meet up to trade through the existing trade system?

Answer: Yes

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to buy only part of a sellers offer if you want? For example, if the seller is selling 1,000 of an item, you can buy only 100 if you wish.

Answer: No, buy as much as we want.

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to add buy offers for items and let the trading post find the best match for you?

Answer: Yes, that would work good.

Question: If we introduce a trading post that matches offers for you, should your buy offers be visible when you are offline?

Answer: Yes

I think the offer should come down 5 minutes after you log out.
Gives you time to world hop and doesn't keep the offer up too long if you are logging off for a while :)

Also if it's just a post post and not exchange, will there be a section where you can post your current location (if you're planning on staying somewhere a while)?

Sanots*to, I know the last poll agreed on no taxes. DUH. People are still trying to suggest adding taxes to people who do not want to trade face-to-face or to offline traders and I was trying to point out problems with that system. Not gonna rehash it here.

One person suggested only having a few items in the trading post. I don't think the line could be clearly drawn as to which items would be in the trading post and which items are not.

I still believe that we need to be able to sort the offers by price or by number of items in the offer, etc., in order to wade through all of the offers for the most traded items. There could be hundreds or even thousands of offers at any given time for some items, and the little guy will probably lose out to the high quantity guys every time.

For the least traded items, there are generally so few offers that you would need to SEE the offline offers just to know that someone is willing to trade it. I know it is really hard to find buyers for hunter pots that are online at the same time I am, but that doesn't mean there is no demand for them. It just means I don't know how big the demand really is unless someone also posts to buy on that 3rd party site and I remember to check it.

And just like the 3rd party site, if the trade does not happen through the trading post (if it is face-to-face), the players involved both have to be responsible enough to REMOVE their offers when completed. If they are traded through the trading post the offers would be automatically removed when filled so that people are not trying to reach someone who has already sold/bought the item and 'forgot' to remove it from the system.

It may be that we can never come to an agreement about the trading post, but you can be sure that people will threaten to quit. Some will quit if it passes and some will if it doesn't. OSRS is better off without either of them.

The way his question is phrased makes it seem like we will be voting to have it either be this way or you must by the whole quantity. The question should instead be
" Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should the seller be allowed to offer buyers the ability to purchase only part of the entire offer? For example, if the seller is selling 1,000 of an item, you can buy only 100 if you wish.

This way it is clear that the seller would have an option to allow this and does not make it seem like the seller has no choice in the matter.

I've been in this community since 2002, quit for several years. If you update 2007 rs again I will leave. What was the point of making 2007 rs if you're just going to release something similar to a GE? NO UPDATES LEAVE IT THE WAY IT IS. WE ARE HAPPY WITH IT THE WAY IT IS. THAT IS WHY IT IS CALLED 2007 SCAPE.

I think that you should be able to trade the player from wherever they are. So you can be selling/buying the items from wherever you are.

All you have to do is have the items/gold in your bank. Then you trade, and when you go back to your bank next, the items will have been traded. I don't want to have to sit around waiting for someone or something.
