Question: Should we introduce a trading post where you can post trade offers which will be visible to everyone? Offers will only appear when the seller is online and you will need to trade through the existing trading system.

Yes, as long as the seller's offer is only hid after going offline, as opposed to being deleted where the seller has to keep re-posting every time he logs out.

Question: If we introduce the trading post, should players’ trade offers be visible when they are offline?

No, this would just clutter up the trading post. My solution is to just have the seller's offer hid while offline, as opposed to being deleted.

Question: If players' trades are visible when they are offline, should they be visible for more than 6 hours?

There is no reason for a seller's offer to be on the trading post list when he/she is not online.

Question: If we introduce the trading post should players be able trade items through it rather than having to meet up to trade through the existing trade system?

Yes, but only as long as both parties are online at the same time.

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to buy only part of a sellers offer if you want? For example, if the seller is selling 1,000 of an item, you can buy only 100 if you wish.

Yes. There should be no restriction on how much or how little of something a person can buy.

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to add buy offers for items and let the trading post find the best match for you?

Yes, but only as long as it matches a player up with someone who is online.

Question: If we introduce a trading post that matches offers for you, should your buy offers be visible when you are offline?

No. There is no need for offers of people who are offline

I think that you should have to own the item or amount of GP that it takes to cover the offer. For example, you can't post offers to buy an AGS unless you have the 70m (or whatever your offer is) in your bank or inventory. You'd also need to have an AGS to sell one. This would at least help to prevent some fake offers.

Also, any ETA on when the poll will be available?

Mods,

I would like to suggest a 5 minute renewing teleport that gives the player's an option to teleport to the auction house and allow the players to meet up and trade face to face.

The teleport could be a free one but may require a certain magic level or total level to use and would be able to be used ever 5 minutes of 10 minutes.

if you release the grand exchange, there would be a huge decrease in item scamming due to less manual trades. there would also be less spam in world 1 and two because more people would be using the grand exchange. the grand exchange is automatic so there will be no waiting around for buying items for questing which would be really helpful. if there was an auction house, the player might not be available to confirm the bid so you would have to wait to get your the item. some players do not want the grand exchange because they are rather scammers or merchants who manipulate the price because there is not set price for each item in the game.
I hope you have took my thoughts into consideration because legit players would want the grand exchange.

I think this is the best proposed solution. I personally would like it to only have the features of being able to see other players buy/sell offers and having to meet up with them.. But the poll questions cover every aspect of the trading solution ranging from a GE like system to a simple forums like solution. It takes into consideration every group and gives the majority the chance to choose which fix they want.

Very well thought out poll questions and fix. Good Job.

Just to give an answer to each question in my own beliefs. (Done in order)
1.) Yes, I believe a trading post should be placed with offers visible to everyone.

2.) No, I believe that a player's offer should not be posted when offline, this will allow for the competition to continue in the current economy, but makes it easier for the players.

3.) No, as I believe offline players should not have their offers posted.

4.) Yes, players should be allowed to exchange items through it to create the ease of trading that the Grand Exchange has.

5.) If possible, I believe there should be an option where the seller can choose how much must be bought at once, If not possible I believe that the buyer should be able to buy less than the full quantity if desired.

6.) Yes, I believe it should bring you the best possible match or even complete a transaction when it notices that the buy offer matches another person's sell offer.

7.) No, I believe the offers should not be visible when offline to allow for the same competition of the current economy.

Hope my opinions help in any sort of way! I'm definitely looking forward to this being placed in the game, so tired of spending an hour or so in world 301 :P .

I did not like the AH idea. I think this is a much fairer way to enter a new trading system into the game. It has potential (if players vote a certain way) to function just as the auction house would have.

But it also gives the option to players who didn't like the auction house to vote and make it how they want the trading solution to be.

The auction house poll left a lot of players hanging without being able to actually pick something they would like.

This is the best way to poll a trading solution.
