Please make redwood logs useful for wintertodt, they honestly need more uses outside of standard firemaking. Hell make all of the logs be useful, firemaking is intended to be an item sink for logs so naturally more ways to burn them away would be nice.


Right now there isn't any plans for the Wintertodt to use existing logs. We do have some possible ideas for future Firemaking updates though.

Seems counter productive to add an update that doesn't even use logs, it's like a construction update that doesn't use planks or an new herblore potion that doesn't use herbs. Please reconsider with the design of Wintertodt before it's not too late.

Recently the woodcutting guild was released, which brings in tons more various logs and redwood logs that are declining rapidly in value due to limited usefulness and they aren't linked to any high alchemy value such as magic logs due to them being used for fletching. In my mind it would only make sense to make Wintertodt (supposedly a massive firemaking update we've been anticipating since 2015) to equal the scales of balance again by creating demand for logs produced.

Ok, to be fair 17th of September 2015 it was asked for 4 F2P total level worlds with 800+, 1000+ and 1200+.
It was 69% for, 31% against.

So this time we do have better chances, the total level world requirements are actually realistic and there are two instead of 4.
I would have still preferred ensuring 1 total level world for all legit players sake and only after that look on expanding that bot-free safe space further.

Lets hope for the best. And the botters shall rot in hell.

Looks good although it would be really nice if we could have dwarves that we can pay to operate the blast furnace on every world rather just 358, I'm aware that it is the official blast furnace world but it can get quite laggy sometimes, especially when there are a lot of people there which this update is sure to bring. Also how exactly will the xp rewards from the Wintertodt scale or be distributed, or will it give a specific amount in each skill?

There probably won't be a huge amount of Herblore experience on offer. Firemaking is the main skill used.
