I rarely post in these forums, but have been an active RS player since Runescape Classic. There's a lot about this raid update I do not agree with. First and foremost, the amount of rewards for completing it. Think I counted 17 new in game items, included in which is another best in slot? I understand that JaGeX wants their beloved Zeah to have foot traffic, so their decision is to release very OP stuff to make it so? Pretty narrow minded if you ask me.

The magic gear has been the only gear to not receive an update since OSRS was released so it does need to be updated, however, there's no need to throw the dragon items as well as the prayers into the same update release. The only PvM based in the game that offers so many different rewards is barrows, although a popular hit, its low level content that even a level 50 can be involved in.

As far as I'm concerned OSRS has NO need for auras, oh excuse me, insignia's. I cannot stand the thought that the dev team doesn't understand OSRS enough to know this is a terrible path to start heading down and I will be extremely unhappy if the community allows them to be released.

To recap my complaint; Too many never seen before rewards, insignia's are a terrible idea, prayer's I'm pleased with.

The magic robes sound cool. But all these dragon items is a horrible idea. I feel like these are items we could literally go the whole game without wearing and be better off.... Please make the rewards for raids be a little more unique and "RewardIng" As far as the spells go i like rigour and a few others . I do like the idea of the items that sit in arrow slot though.

I also rarely post on the boards, yet I feel like I need to respond here. These rewards are starting to look way too much like the things, people didn't like in the "normal" Runescape.

First of all, the insignia's, those are just Aura's in a different form. Remember, this is 2007 scape, not RS3! I would definitely vote against those. It would add absolution nothing to old school Runescape.

Also I am not convinced about the Prayer rewards, although I like the Ranged and Magic boosting Prayer, the others Prayers feels kinda useless, especially if they would drain your Prayer points in a rapid way. Seeing they are high level Prayers, I am sure they will.

The others rewards seems okay to me, although I really liked the idea some people posted in the first few pages about the Dragon Plate body. Like the Plate body should be in pieces just like the Bludgeon, and then should be added to the Dragon Chainbody. Off-course, this would require a high smith level. In this way, the chainbody gets a bigger purpose and the platebody would be a hard item to acquire.

Yeah... No.

I like the idea to fill out the dragon equipment like the other metals, but not like this. They need their own quests like the Runescape of old.

The range/mage prayers can be okay, but the rest just feels like we're getting away from what we all wanted in the beginning. Old school runescape.

Congratz to everyone in reaching high-end game. You've finished old school runescape. If you feel you need more content then RS3 is but a few clicks away. There you can change whatever you like, but this, this is a classic. It needs to remain that way for us and all the future gamers to see and experience. If not, we'll all be voting for a new old-oldschool soon enough.
