I can appreciate the scope of the update, aside from the manical monkeys, I was really hoping for slayer helms this week. Until I saw they were 1,000 points. I believe this is not a reasonable price standpoint: as a nearly maxed player, I am able to complete 1-2 tasks from Duradel per hour. That's 30 points for 1 hour: on average taking anywhere from 66 individual tasks or 33 hours (not including bonus points for reaching 10, 50, 100... completed tasks)
Considering that obtaining a KQ head is 128, a KBD head is 1/128, and a Abyssal Demon head is 1/6K (unless you receive from an unsired). I believe the challenge of receiving the reward should not be accentuated by a 1,000 slayer points (EACH!) While I understand there is a 'surplus' of slayer points within the community, for the vast majority of us that actively slay: we require the use of canceling tasks and as a result saving for 1,000 points let alone 3,000 points for all three helms is just lurid.
I propose that the helms cost be modified as they are
Cosmetic
items and serve no practical function in the game whatsoever. Herb Sack currently being 750 points is already a nightmare for most people to obtain, but it serves an important function of loot collection. The cosmetic versions of the helm do nothing, and should thus have their point cost reduced from 1,000 (EACH!) to 500 each. We (players) need a goal to follow, not an impossible dream.

I second the notion that if you're putting the recolor cost at 1000 points to at least add some functionality to the recolors instead of it being solely cosmetic
1k Slayer points for a slayer helm that's just a recolor. Either give us a recolor option so we can choose our colors or stop putting minimal effort into these things. Give them new horns or something. I won't spend 1k points on something that looks like trash.

Well done OSRS team on ruining yet another skill that was fine.
Have you even tried the new method?
I guess not.
It is not really that AFK, maybe semi afk but so is the standaard deadfal hunter method. The xp/hour is not that insane tbh (testing it at 73 hunter).
I really like it, it doesn't ruin high effort hunting methods.
