I like the idea but i wouldn't encourage throwing in a mini-game that offers you maxed stats.
Make it to where the mini-game allows you to maintain your stats that also varies with combat levels. Make it to where the mini-game will be focused on a 10 cb lvl range like bounty hunter. This will encourage players to skill outside of the mini-game instead of creating an account just to camp the arena.

Great idea! I really like it. My suggestion is instead of a map where fog makes it smaller and smaller, why not make it a sinking ship or a fishing platform that is being hit by a massive storm causing it to crumble into the ocean.

We already know the oceans of Runescape are treacherous.

I could see a really neat pirate theme for this,

The ship is sinking, and everyone is trying to take as much loot as they can, even if it means cutting down former crew members.

It could end with the last two people fighting in a two tile life boat. The winner makes it to shore with the most of the loot in the life boat . Running up drifts back on some drift wood, and unfortunately due to the drift woods unstable nature, some of the loot falls into the ocean ( to explain the 200k gold "sink".. no pun intended )

I doubt I would play this minigame.

But as long as the price (in gp) is higher than the reward (in gp) it's fine with me. :)
That way no one starts 25 accounts, competing himself and get a reward.
I don't wanna support bots and gold farmers. RS3/OSRS acc: Valcyra

I should probably start getting my combat stats up more (EDIT: I forgot we get max stats with this nvm :p ) this sounds awesome!

Will probably do more casual game play to get the hang of it at first (not a very good PVPer :p ).

But I feel like this is an awesome way to introduce me into PVPing without risking anything (except coins if I do the competitive match).

With this type of game it might encourage me to do some actual PVPing.

I like it.. But I still think you guys should bring back Stealing Creation. It is not to early, OSRS needs it!

Players are always trying to be efficient, so would'nt it be an amazing idea? Look at the community and the players.

+1, I agree with what you're saying.


And I'd also like to reiterate what other posters have stated, which is this:

Old School already has a lot of minigames; Objectively, not all of them are that enjoyable, but the fact still remains.

Perhaps Jagex should be looking into reviving the minigames Old School already has, rather than creating Dev Blogs inciting players to vote in yet another one.


Just my thoughts.
