That task system crap is winning, well if we only had a no vote I highly doubt any of these would have more than 12% voted for....Seriously no one who joined osrs wanted eoc and the ideas behind these skills sound exactly like eoc.

Just wanted to thank everyone who voted for herding, even though it's last i'm really honored to be shortlisted and to have 300+ voters.

Whoever wins and if it passes later on congratulations, I hope we can mold it into a skill that fits the old school theme.

Peace. :)

If you received over 450 entries and these five were the best, I shudder to think how awful the others must have been.

All of them are just too small - skills are supposed to have a profound effect on the game and change how people do things, most of these are worse than Hunter (and Hunter barely has enough content to make it worthwhile - chins, salamanders, gloves of silence and a spottier cape were practically the entire skill until implings came out).

I hope you don't take us voting 'No, we don't want this rubbish' as a statement against new skills - new skills are great if they're actually well-thought out and have more of a reason to be in the game than free total levels.

You obviously didn't read it well, just like most of the people that come and complain here. I am an Artisan Supporter, obviously because it was my idea. But saying that it hasn't been tought trough? wow man, you definitely didn't read at all. The skill will create balance in the game, and everything has been thought out.

1. no impact on combat (which everyone asked for, due to EoC)
2. Almost all skills only have one good way to train to 99. Because of Artisan, this is not the case anymore.
3. The Artisan Skill makes skilling just as worthy as pvming and pvping is, because at the moment they cannot be fairly compared to eachother. Not even runecrafting.

I think that whatever the results were of this Dev blog, everyone would have reacted like you did. And that's because most of the people don't even read, or already start reading in a negative way from the first scentence. Give it a shot man, Old School needs this and it should not stay the same forever.

At first everyone was saying they want Runescape from 2007 that was the best time then when they finally get it they complain they want things that came after 2007. This does not make sense at all. Where do you take a sick horse?

I voted for Forestry - Artisan felt more like a task and reward system for levelling skills you may already be levelling.
Herding, I only read a tiny bit of and got bored of it, Same with Astronomy but I read a bit more of that one.
Geomancy I skimmed over but felt it was far too similar to Herblore.
I also enjoy construction and the player owned house - It would be nice to see more player owned areas like construction.
