Problem with
no Decay on negative LSP
:
Once people get big loot, lets say ely sigil, people dont bother to do LS anymore. who will want to miss 4 more ely to bring their LS to neutral? and if they get ely in 3man team, then they will have to miss 6 ely in 6man team to bring it neutral. so once they get big drop they stop LS and it will be hard to find people to do LS when many people with big negative lsp in future.
To fix this bring back decay with 3or5% per day or just for negative lsp.

~ Loot share

Looks good and will be voting yes :)

~ Instant share

The idea is pretty much flawless since this will push more people into purchasing hilts, sigils and other items instead of their counter parts (i.e. armadyl hilts and elysian spirit shields). Merchants will always be flipping hilts and sigils which means teams will always receive a fair price for their item if not a few mill gp off depending what the item is.

I can see why people are complaining about instant share but losing a few mill off an item compared to it being totally scammed is far better in my opinion.

No one is going to be getting an ely sigil for 20 gp. People will end up leaving in offers for 100k-1m under the real price to make an easy quick profit.

Perhaps there could be a system for LootShare that allows the players to sell the item for an exact price in the G.E. If it's that big of an issue for people.

For example, you get a 6-man Elysian Sigil. The item would transfer to a G.E. box and would be accessible to all players or a designated leader solely through the G.E. making it impossible to withdraw the item. When selling the item for "X" amount, a notification in chat or through a G.E. layout would allow each player to vote if they want it sold at that price. Or have all 6 players be able to suggest a price, and everyone could then vote on the price they want to sell it at. There should be an option to simply receive the regular LootShare split if offers aren't working out. If that becomes a problem, the system should automatically grant regular LootShare split after like 24, 48, 72, etc. Hours. To prevent the item from being sold at 1gp, you could set a minimum limit of some sort. Just a quick idea I had.

I don't know how possible all this would be, and it's definitely rough, but it could turn out better than I described with the right ideas.

"LootShare offers a way to avoid trust being a factor all together. Relying on LSP to distribute loot fairly over time rather than relying on your team to split each individual loot means that you no longer need to be concerned with whether or not your team are trustworthy."

This is assuming that everyone will FFA items which is not the case. Only a very small percentage of teams actually FFA their loot. Trust will still be an issue, only now the loot won't go to the highest damager. If anything this will cause more scams, as people will get their LSP high then attempt to join a clan to scam a high valued item.

I strongly dislike the idea of lootshare potential and if it's polled as the dev blog currently offers LS, then I will be voting no.

Sounds great! Will be voting yes for both lootshare and instantshare. Ty for trying to make bossing easier without having to trust people you possibly dont know.

And since when can people scam with lootshare? You can't. People choose to use lootshare when they dont want to split drops, so if you miss anything you have higher chance of getting next drop. I dont understand what people in here are complaining about.

I thought of having lootshare and non lootshare areas or instances for bosses on every world so everyone could use whatever world they wanted, but this would increase the number of bosses available to kill and thus increase the drops coming into the game devaluing them, plus would require building new areas or instances, so I can see why Jagex is suggesting dividing up the worlds instead, but then there are less worlds available for non looshare teams and solo players creating more friction and crashing each other, so either way has its positives and drawbacks.

The problem with instances is that you can't get your items back in them. That's why they got around it with Zulrah by having a NPC hold you items on death, but with the big negative being that the boss is 100% safe to kill. Because of that, instances for the old bosses isn't really an option, so it would have to be multiple non-instances, similar to Sire/Cerb.

As for the thing about more bosses devaluing the drops, I never really bought that argument. I can see where people are coming from with it, but seriously... How many people gear up, walk to a boss/get kc, then find people in that world and gives up immediately? Nobody.

Most people just spend 5 minutes hopping, then carry on. I honestly don't think the impact of 2-3 rooms for each boss would have a huge impact. Especially since the most profitable boss in the game got INFINITE instances AND is safe to kill.

I don't even care about the drops, I'm in it for boss pets. Also, access to the additional boss rooms should have a decent one-off payment to unlock, just like when they first polled a second DK's room.

Unfortunately as it stands right now, I as a solo boss pet hunter got absolutely no reason to vote yes, as it'll make things worse for me.
