"One example of a system we could offer if LootShare were to be introduced is InstantShare. If you were to get a signature drop from a boss monster with InstantShare enabled the item would instantly be sold on the Grand Exchange to the highest existing offer. The coins from this trade is then split evenly between the team.

This system is similar to CoinShare but avoids the issue of generating coins. InstantShare would not generate any coins at all. The coins would be coming straight from the offer that another player has already made in the Grand Exchange. It would not create any issue with inflation or incomplete trades.

This is just a concept at this point in time and would not be introduced with LootShare. It is a much bigger job and requires LootShare to be a game feature in order to exist."

I would not do the instantshare in the way that is planned right now. Instead. Just give untreadable pieces of the armour/weapon/... to everyone. After you did get enouf of them. You could smith the armour/weapon/... into a treadable ietem. Ofcourse, only if you have the smithing lvl to do it. That system will not infuence the economy at all. As the item would not be sold instantly. And the pieces won't be treadable. And it would be a great expansion to high(er) smithing lvls gaps tho. When instantshare will come out as it is desighned right now. You can be sure that lootshare will die... Idk who did come up with that idea. But I have only one thing to say to him. He's a *****... Cmn. My idea is clever/has more sence. And is a bigger expansion to osrs. Not only it will not infuence the economy(as instantshare could be abused. The majority of Ppl would start buying ietems for low/normal price only), but inprove/upgrade the smithing skill tho! With really rewarding xp drops. As the parts are not treadable. So please re consider that instantshare. Please! With your instantshare idea. I would left lootshare forever, at release of instant share. In my opinion, my idea of instantshare not only will not infuence the economy. But will motivate players to train smithing. And even if you release lootshare. It will not be death content on launch of instantshare (my way of instantshare). Lootshare will be used by players with a low(er) smithing lvl. They won't have the benefit of bein sure of having a part of the drop in lootshare. But they will still have chance to have a drop. If their aren't the best in dps. And my way of instant share can be used by all. The only problem for the player would be the smithing cap. Without the apropriate smithing lvl. Those pieces are useless. You can be sure that the smithing hiscores will dramatically with instantshare. My way of instantshare:
Instant.=lootshare
Your way:
instant.=/=lootshare.
+Risk of abuse :(
Thank you for OSRS, add a minnimap and a rest option. Then I will be fully happy with this game.

I love the lootshare ideas you guys are proposing - particularly the idea of InstantShare.

Clearly you have accounted the community's misconceptions and thoughts after having a long read over some suggestions on the previous dev blog thread. It would be a shame if this did not pass as there has been a lot of consideration over this.

Keep up the good work OSRS team!!

I think the instant share idea is pretty cool, but i don't really want lootshare to be in the game.

and your reason is... "because i dont know how lootshare works" <--- this is the main reason for every LS haters.

you people think everyone is forced to use LS but its not. you have to find a LS host and join their clan chat to get added, then activate lootshare icon to share LS with people in that clan chat. Lootshare will be disabled when logged out or by clicking the LS button again when its active.

Why not just do shard-share?

E.g. A team of 4 gets a bandos chestplate. The chestplate is split into 25 for each player (100 total).

These shards can be sold on the GE or kept. Once any player buys/receives 100 shards of the chestplate, they can convert it into said chestplate.

This seems like a very simple but effective solution. It eliminates the issues with not having a sharing system (whereby a player can scam the rest of his team by not sharing).

It also doesn't create more coins in the game nor does it require the item to be immediately sold on the GE (i.e. forced sale).

My opinion is just one of many; however, I think this LootShare idea is better than the one implemented in RS3--but it's still not great. There's too much room for imbalance as it, with no "cap" or ceiling and without degradation over time (played, not time passed in realife since LSP changes).

I hate hypotheticals, but for example, if someone gets shafted at corp, they'd essentially get every drop for the rest of eternity (assuming the Elysian sigil is >10x more expensive than the next non-3a item in the game currently) ...

I think ways of combatting this would be to have some kind of quantification of LSP for other people to determine if they want to add someone to their group or not. I think this could be vague, ranges, such has High Med Low chance for getting a drop compared to everyone in the world.

Ultimately, I like the idea of InstantShare more.. It's immediate feedback for an entire team in PvM, and offers it in a way that doesn't compromise the economy.

Just my thoughts!

Cheers!
