I love that the only people that will vote no are the vocal minority that only exist on forums, and probably 30% don't even play old school to a large extent. Let them release their top entries, we'll vote for which one we want best, we'll then get the 75% for it, and the vocal minority can continue to gripe and moan about how the game is ruined, just like with every other update (including the actual release of Old School) that's been released.

May I suggest polling the top 10 skills you guys picked instead of picking one? If we get an option to choose a new skill we would want some different ideas and not just one, even a top 5 skills to be polled on would be good.
Thats how every PDC works. They will soon release a short list of the top ideas and we will vote on them.

I would like to see a skill like savaging. Gain Exp for picking up things and gathering. This gives a purpose to all those 3 coin and bones drop. Was thinking exp be same no mater what you pick up so that it is really slow to level. Maybe the skill will give us a bonus to vendoring items to shops or able to carry a bigger bag, not likely tho.

13 exp gained per item picked up or gathered that way one needs to gather 1 million items to lvl 99.

Picking up items of course would be items never picked up before so that you cant sit there and drop a coin and pick it back up over and over.

Amen to that, majority is just playing the game and waiting for the results instead of posting something. So cant say that majority wants no new skill... its that tiny tiny part of the community that disagrees with this.

Although if an idea comes to surface and wins the contest, which will turn the game way too EoC, ill vote no as well. Winner better have something that doesnt change the combat system too much. (bonuses, armors, weapons, etc)

Maybe they should make a very large complex minigame. A cross between a skill and a minigame. I think it should involve several skills kind of like dungeoneering, but not BE dungeoneering. You go into caves, ruins, and excavations, and find treasure, or clue scroll types of things, and loot chests. Mining could be involved, as you must excavate some types of rock depending on your mining level. You can craft and smith cosmetic items such as different looking weapons with same stats as their counterparts, or clothing from tapestries found in some ruins or from treasures found in the chests. Slayer and PVM can be used in it because there will be monsters in the caves to be defeated. It could be kind of like an archaeology/treasure hunting/exploration/adventuring type of thing. Agility and thieving could be used also as stealth to go into difficult and dangerous areas. I do not want it to be team based, but it could have areas/options for teams if one so chooses. Soloing it should be equally effective all around as team work, so as not to put off those who do not care to play in teams.

Rewards would be
new and different areas and ways to train these skills
Slayer -new monsters to kill
Agility -certain routes and areas once unlocked reveal agility courses
Hunter -You come across some wild dogs and you must capture one and train him as a guide dog follower type of thing. (gives hunter exp)
Thieving -breaking into areas watched by guards(get loot and thieving exp)
Combat -more pvm monsters that are not necessarily a slayer monster (combat exp)
Mining -ore to be mined (gives exp)
Smithing -making cosmetic weapons (gives exp)
Crafting -making clothes and jewelry (gives exp)

Some team games in it as well, with like a wall of champions for some difficult areas being reached and conquered.
Loot from chests with gp, gems, clue scroll types of challenges with rewards in them.
Resources for training skills also such as ores,ess,food,and other useful items to find.
