The skill I would like to see added to the game would be Engineering. It would require materials that would either be dropped by npc's or from mining and smithing. These materials could be used to create gadgets or armor/weapon modifications. Some of the gadgets could include: transportable stations such as, cooking, crafting, alter, smithing, runecrafting (one type per rune), construction, brewing, and banking. Theses stations would be degradable by use and would require more materials for repair and could only be repaired so many times.
As for armors/weapons, you could add modifications that would add bonus stats. Once you add a material to an armor/weapon it would become permanent and possibly non-tradable. These too would be degradable and would require repairs over use and time. Once an item becomes too damaged the armor/weapon cannot be repaired and is useless. New armor would be required to add different modifications.
I really like the idea of "Engineering". I suggest making bombs that could be used on arrows or just bombs that are similar to chinchompas. This could make fire making more prevalent in the game since basically it has almost no use.
Adding features to creating hot air balloons for traveling and a tool belt that goes into the ring spot that hold a hammer, spade, sheers etc. Leveling up could increase space on one's tool belt, which could benefit skilling for other skills. Ores and Bars could be used for materials in the skill. Could add new armor and weapons that are made through the skill.
