The new capes aren't a powerhouse, they barely ADVANCE the game. People are so scared of BiS and don't actually consider what impact it has, they see BIS OMG VOTE NO""!@"!@2 TOO POWERFUL.

If you actually look at it, it's like 1 extra damage at the most.

Well, Jagex... Hopefully Jad2 doesn't pass..

If so, be prepared to slowly lose the 8k+ people who voted no.. because we do not want rs3.. we quit originally bc it stopped being runescape. Please quit turning osrs into the cartoon rs3 that these pre-eoc startup kids want. They do not know what osrs was.

Or just re-start 07 like it was w/o these new weapons, bosses and crazy updates like zeah (and could honestly work perfect w/o gwd) and update osrs until the name changes to rs4. Just food for thought.

just because people vote "no" doesn't mean they will lose players.... lol also games need content to survive what's the point if everyone has everything in the game already

The problem is that the mage/range capes are equivalent to the one that melee already has, yet requires far more effort for the same thing. That is not balanced. They should come from Jad 1, with slightly improved versions (better def and/or attk-no extra damage) from Jad 2.

Also: 1 damage adds up.

Serpentine Helm: enough str bonus for +1 damage. It's only +1
Primoridial boots: enough str bonus for +1 damage. it's only +1
Drag Defender: +1 damage over rune defender. It's only +1
Firecape V2: +1 damage over regular firecape. It's only +1,right?

Suddenly, we're at a minimal of +4 damage.
OSRS Mage Tank.


Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

Honestly that isn't a big deal as long as they're intelligent. Its taken years to get to the +4 or whatever we have now. All they have to do moving forward is create harder PvE bosses that account for the higher hits and disallow certain updates from PvP so as to not upset the balance there. That can go on forever.
