Hey guys,

I just wanted to say that we are collecting all your feedback and will continue to do so over the weekend. Next we'll come back to you with some of the changes we would like to make in response to your feedback.

Mat.

Thanks Mat. :)

EDIT: Here's some more feedback:

There have been many signs since Feb 2013 of Jagex's ongoing effort to undermine Oldschool:

- Setting a
ridiculous
high number target (750K) for it to be F2P in an impossible time length

- Not allowing us 8+ years veterans transfer at least 50% of our stats (Many people still play RS3 because they don't want to start from scratch)

- Not creating a completely separated website for Oldschool

- Hiring only 4 J-Mods to work on Oldschool

The list could go on and on.

Hence, my conclusion is: Their CEO's goal is to milk Oldschool and hope it'll die just like Classic did. He was never keen to bring back Oldschool, he was forced to. I still remember his evil smile when someone asked him back in 2009 on some YT video: "Will you ever bring back the wildy?" And he said "Errrmmm... Nope *Giggles*". Despite of all that, I hope our great community will keep thriving and proving Jagex wrong. Both RS3 & Oldschool should be the main game, but Jagex are afraid Oldschool will outnumber their dead horse game of RS3 as that would be a huge embarrassment for them.

RS3 is an anti-social game and is the complete opposite of fun, and as soon as Jagex realize that, the better.

Hopefully Jagex will smarten up. Low chances for that to happen though.

There was a lot of people that really liked it that you could have a 0% stat transfer.

From what I've seen it looks like you need to increase the rewards, most of the stuff isn't better than money making methods outside of wilderness so why risk stuff for mediocre rewards? I'm talking 750k+ for it to be worth it, things like the dark crabs should be fished at trout/salmon speed. No one is going to sit there for 20 min at 99 fish for an invy of these that will sell for like 1-2kea.

750k would be way overpowered..... the wilderness is here to give a very good reason to go into to make millions decently fast, but not to overpower to much things by making the wilderness the only player choice for trying to make money. 750k would devalue a bit to much of a lot of thing.. it would also devalue runecrafting which is the best money maker in game lol..

a 250k-350k maybe even 400k i think is fair since you do have a chance of dieing i will agree it needs to be decent but not crazy overpowered hrly profit.

Premise behind the update is good but some things really need to happen:

- Decrease the number of worlds. No idea why we have this many. This would be good for the game in general, not just this wilderness revamp. Most worlds are completely dead, there is no competition for resources etc (no reason for skillers to travel to wildy which breaks the entire PKing food chain)

- Allow PvP to override PvM in the wilderness

while i'd agree, both of those were polled and came nowhere near passing

Bleh, people are dumb. Imo the amount of worlds decreasing shouldn't even be polled because it's a serious issue, rly. I highly doubt the intention was to have so many worlds this dead

edit: Also the risk factor just isn't there. People can easily farm the bosses etc with just a whip and black hide and PKers aren't going to bother if there is nothing to gain out of it.

My suggestions:

-Make the resource gathering far more effective. The best in the game. The goal is to increase the activity of the wilderness, and making the resource gaining amazing would do a good job with this.

-From what I have read the fishing and woodcutting is awful. I was out pking for a good part of the day yesterday and I never saw a single person in the fishing or woodcutting area (that speaks for itself). Major buffs here please

-Loot from bosses needs to be buffed considerably. Give people the REWARDS that make the risk worth it. The Dragon Pick has already fallen to below 5M in price. Either make them drop loads of pking supplies, skilling supplies, or something to make them worth killing.

-Loot from bosses needs to be individualized. All the top loot from each main boss is the same. This will cause people to flock to the boss that is the easiest, most efficient to kill. Giving each a great item that would only drop to that certain boss would do a great deal in preventing any boss from becoming dead content.

-The shields could also use a buff. If we want the wilderness more active people need to be willing to let the newest, biggest bosses drop the best loot. With the risk that is involved the shields are not good enough (and the price reflects that). Malediciton Ward is selling for 5M and the Odium Ward is selling for 8M. With all the risk involved the shields need to be better.

Continue putting out more good drops on the bosses and upgrade some of the new items released. Thanks for reading.
