i have to say the mechanics of the single demi-bosses are poorly made. people just spam click it waiting for the other person to eat and steal the kill. even at whip speed, eating a shark = kill stolen. We cannot "kill each other" either, because the boss pj's one of us, then it's the same thing all over again.

i haven't tried the bigger bosses yet, but that's a major turn off.

E: perhaps this was missed during testing?

I was very excited for the ents because I have 99 woodcutting and they are located in multi-combat. I was looking forward to killing them with my friends to hopefully make a lot of money from the noted logs. Ents are a perfect way to combine aspects of combat and skilling because it makes getting logs less monotonous and more exciting. When I killed them today for the first time, I was a little disappointed.

The ents look REALLY COOL, and, like I said above, the idea of intertwining combat with skilling is brilliant (Just like the runite golems).

However, I was disappointed when I found the ents to be small in number (I only found 4 in level 7-10 wildy, but I didn't go to the other spot yet), and I didn't like the fact that only one person could chop the log upon the ent's death even though multiple people could have killed the ent. But I have to say that I was mostly surprised at how low the woodcutting rates are with ents. At 99 woodcutting with a rune axe, I would only average around 5 logs per ent (a couple magics, a couple yews, and a maple or a willow). I even went back and tried using a dragon axe and, while i got a few more logs, it didn't seem like risking a dragon axe was worth the logs.

Here are my suggestions directed specifically towards reworking ents:

1.) Increase the amount of logs received: More logs = more of an incentive to go to the wildy.
2.) Increase the amount of ents in the wildy: You could probably almost double the number of ents in the location where I was.
3.) Make it so anyone is able to cut the ent log: This will encourage teams of skillers to participate in ent killing and will therefore increase their chances of survival if they are attacked by a group of pkers. You should also probably increase the strength and HP of ents if you choose to implement this idea.
4.) Bird nest drops would also be cool to see :)

Overall, great concept but not entirely worth the risk.

Good idea

JMODS -

It would be nice to see resource areas be a little more worthwhile. I hear that fishing needs it badly. I like the demibosses, they are really great. I think that some of the bigger bosses need to have a little something special to each one so that they all remain active to kill.

A lot of great things were released though. Thanks for listening and continuing to do so.

Cool update however I think that the kill counter has got to work in low level wilderness and on pvp worlds. Make it so that you can only kill the same player once every couple of hours or something to stop farming (after you kill someone once, any subsequent kills wouldnt go on your counter). This really should be polled or something though because I do almost all of my pking in edge and pvp worlds and I want to be able to use the feature!

Also thumbs up to Jagex for trying to make PvP better.

From what I've seen it looks like you need to increase the rewards, most of the stuff isn't better than money making methods outside of wilderness so why risk stuff for mediocre rewards? I'm talking 750k+ for it to be worth it, things like the dark crabs should be fished at trout/salmon speed. No one is going to sit there for 20 min at 99 fish for an invy of these that will sell for like 1-2kea. Maxed Sept 24th, 2015 - 134th to max

Thanks Mat. :)

EDIT: Here's some more feedback:

There have been many signs since Feb 2013 of Jagex's ongoing effort to undermine Oldschool:

- Setting a
ridiculous
high number target (750K) for it to be F2P in an impossible time length

- Not allowing us 8+ years veterans transfer at least 50% of our stats (Many people still play RS3 because they don't want to start from scratch)

- Not creating a completely separated website for Oldschool

- Hiring only 4 J-Mods to work on Oldschool

The list could go on and on.

Hence, my conclusion is: Their CEO's goal is to milk Oldschool and hope it'll die just like Classic did. He was never keen to bring back Oldschool, he was forced to. I still remember his evil smile when someone asked him back in 2009 on some YT video: "Will you ever bring back the wildy?" And he said "Errrmmm... Nope *Giggles*". Despite of all that, I hope our great community will keep thriving and proving Jagex wrong. Both RS3 & Oldschool should be the main game, but Jagex are afraid Oldschool will outnumber their dead horse game of RS3 as that would be a huge embarrassment for them.

RS3 is an anti-social game and is the complete opposite of fun, and as soon as Jagex realize that, the better.

Hopefully Jagex will smarten up. Low chances for that to happen though.
