Absolutely loving the updated drop table for the KBD, I often go there solo so it's nice to be bringing some more reward back with me after :)

What new stuff is it dropping?

(Besides the D Pick)

Well, 2 black hides a kill is the most obvious one. I havn't killed him an awful lot since the update yet but it's just little things i've noticed; 150 noted yews instead of 100, lots more runes. Had a couple of rune kites within 4 kills as well, not sure if that's just luck or more commonly dropped rune items as i've had several longswords as well. If I notice anything else i'll edit this :)

@Rawrylol

Realistically the only reason someone would choose the wilderness over a safe area is because of bots, which is sad. I'm not even going to mess with the runite rocks because they are rather far apart, and the nearest bank is the mage bank which is always partoled by PKers.

Exactly. My idea for the resource area is more based for those who'd like to powermine some iron there from time to time, while maybe picking up some addy ores for a bit of profit. But for the rest of the skilling spots, they need to offer some more incentive than just a lack of bots as I'm sure bots will quickly take those spots up, and on top of that there's also PK'ers to contend with.

As for the runite rocks, I've heard that it's difficult to mine them when you get to them anyway as you're just interrupted by the ice warriors. As for nearest bank couldn't you use obelisks and bring a teletab though?

EDIT -

Just to add something to this, Jagex seem to be making a big deal over the looting bag, and again it's something I love the idea of, but in practice it seems as though it's just gonna benefit PK'ers more than skillers because they can bank their loot in the bag and still have an invent of food.

What kind of incentive does the looting bag offer to skillers if it doesn't protect any of their hard work when they're inevitably killed? Some people may say 'Why don't skillers fight back then' and I'd answer that's because most people who skill don't spend much time PK'ing and so coming up against someone who spends most of their time PK'ing would just lead to even more loss.

Maybe the looting bag should be able to protect all items that are worth less than 5k alch value? That way people can't bank their gear but they can keep their items from skilling.

Even if there are 3 rune rocks, its still in 50 wilderness and they are rather far apart, so you'd still be better off mining in a safe zone. Good idea about the obelisk, i forgot there was a gate south of the ice plateau. Plus you have to bring armor because the ice creatures are around level 50, which can actually do quite alot of damage over time without armor on.

Yeah, and now with the Slayer Ring update, Rune Mining is easier than ever with the mourner caves rune rock. And 100% Safe to boot. Other options are the neitiznot rock, which is close enough to a bank, and the Heroes' Guild rocks (which are heavily botted afaik).

My idea for the next PDC will remedy this a bit, with some monster-free rocks in the wilderness, within close proximity to a bank but only accessible to questers in high level wilderness.
