I like the idea but it would be better if they both degraded because it would make the tentacles worth something as well if that makes sense so that whips arent rising and tentacles just dropping, it would be better that way in my opinion because you would actually need to go back and get the tentacles and not just keep the 1 haha :)

They require 87 and 93 Slayer to obtain, are quite rare, and you must also be on task in order to obtain them.

I don't think we need to worry about the price.
As long as they are being used, they will have a reasonably high price.

i thought that would be the same for "trident staves" and they are 1m now haha

hmm im curious how many of you going to kill smoke devils without being protected by a pk clan? be honest, if you got the intestinal fortitude to not be protected by a bunch of pkers like a test tube baby, i like to know.

I'd be more inclined to have a permo kraken whip however I'd rather it be something along the lines of a 50% chance of the whip binding correctly. Here is the reasoning:

It will still serve as an item sink, people would have to spend between 1-4 whips with their tenacle before getting their new whip. This would mean so on average 1k new tenatcles = 2500 abysall whips removed from game. When people pk this number will go down as well.

I think the whip should be permanent as the whip has always been our trusty weapon day in and day out. We have had degradeables plenty but they just arnt our whip. The essence of the whip is to be there every day, not something that will just turn into another degrading item.

Long idea short, scrap the use standpoint of it. Require BoB in lumbridge to put the two together however there is a 50% chance of your whip getting destroyed. Also I think that its special may be OP. I'd like to see a passive chance to poison but the locking people in place sounds borderline OP. Proud 28%er
