For the abyssal tentacle I'd like to see both the whip and tentacle consumed. 10k hits isn't much for bossing or slaying so I only see PVPers using this. I don't know how people feel about this but adding a strength mode option on the abyssal tentacle would make it very appealing for pures to use.

As for what would happen when someone loses it on death, I don't know if this is possible but drop a degraded whip of whatever percentage the tentacle had last. For instance if someone had a abyssal tentacle at 70% and died, they would drop a degraded whip (70%). The whip would have no wield option and sole purpose would be to combine with other degraded whips to make a new one (100%).

Whips will increase in price from this (Thank god) But if they are going to be 1000 hits (WHAT THE HELL Jagex!?!? 5000 was already low) - That's almost 1.2k GP per hit at the moment! I don't want to pay 1.2k gp per hit -including missing, as well the whip will rise so it could go to 2k GP per hit...

Seems good, but please do not allow people to bring those amulet and new created whip into the wilderness. As people said earlier, the food and armors are not ready for barrage hits of 37 followed by whip hits of 48.

Adding a strenght option for training to the new created whip is a good idea to create a huge demand for it still.

103 Combat: 60 Atk, 75 Def, 70 prayer, 99 Hp/Str/Mage/Range.

I PK a lot! A LOT! I am almost useless melee wise & would love the chance to play with 75 attack, worry free from ruining 76 attack and defence through hybridding with whips or zamorakian spears. I would love the Kraken Tentacle to poll the Strength Option. Pures want it, Mains want it, your friends and mothers want it, I WANT IT!

Please poll the Strength option. This would take PvP to where it needs to be. Anyone complaining doesn't understand how many players this would help & how it is not over powerful. Our gears are under powered! New armors are the problem not new weapons, so please give this a chance!!!

5,000 Hits is fair/debatable... The amount of whips in-game far outweigh this as a problem and will award those who have the slayer level to go farm them. (u*bias: I have 1 slayer.)

Poison aspect is welcome. A new vine whip is cool.

Stat changes - Here is my big concern! This is the oppurtunity to do something bigger! There are pures, and even mains who want to use whips but CAN'T! This is due to shared XP. I believe we should remove the +8 Slash, +4 Strength "so what" bonuses, and finally cater to those dreaming of a upgraded whip. Now I admit, yes I have a max-mid 103 combat with 60 attack that would love 75+.
So maybe this is my bias, but surely wouldn't the outcome of a strength style be the same if you removed the added stats?

Generally speaking this is a great idea, but is it enough? I go back to the phrase I used above, "So What?" This will become underused and not valuable to the community. I have no suggestion, however recommend searching for a second item to add to the Smoke Devil boss.

The added stats still remain competitive to the fury in some situations.

Approach with caution... Adding 10% damage bonus may limit future spells that can be added to the game, deemed to "over powerful" with the extra bonuses.

There are 2626 people with 85+ slayer atm, this will be just a temporary boost into whips price. New slayer items will not be worth much either as long as they are 1/1000 drop rate or less. People can basically choose their tasks already, so only being killed as a task isn't too limited either. Sure you can make money for a month or so but then it'll be another 500k-2m drop.

Oh and incase some mods missed the actual thing people are worried about:

Do NOT make any of this ******** usable in PvP.

Whip and necklace should be made for pvm only if they get put in the game because they would be way too overpowered for pvp..
Maybe make a boss that requires mage to kill? Other than the ones in wilderness

Smoke battlestaff is good idea tbh
