People will always go for what's fastest and if the new whip has a strength option it'll just hurt the Saradomin Sword (which hurts me since I Sara for money often). I'll vote no on that.

I do think that ranged is the forgotten middle child here though, no updates for it. Can we get maybe a power increase on the ACB or a ranging amulet along with the magic one?

Ranging amulet would be a no go.. An attachment to the ACB I would think should be fine.. Except if the acb turned into dust we got a problem.
I don't think ACB should have an attachment as we're talking a bow with a 1/512 drop rate from Zilyana that's also worth 18M, that's like giving Godswords an attachment. It currently has no max hit over a rune crossbow, only a +10 ranging bonus so it's slightly more accurate over a mass-produced bow worth 20k. It just needs a slight boost imo.

I've changed the hits for the Abyssal tentacle to 10000, does anyone disagree?

John, think about a permanent conjuncture of the two. While still creating an item sink but not turning the 'whip' into a degradable. Proud 28%er

I don't care about the bonuses, maybe if you made bonuses just above rune it would make sense.

talking among the slay clan I am in, (slay clan) 99% of the feedback was negative, from what I Heard the amulet needs buffing to be able to rival the fury amulet magic defense, and the tentacle should be consumed, NOT the whip, although this would sort the whip price problem out, nobody wants to fight with a degradable weapon, so it would seem.

additionally, pkers would surely vote down the introduction of whip add-ons which would perhaps rival their chances of pking.
as for the smoke staff, I imagine it would be cheap and perhaps useless or ineffective to those with a magic level lower than 75, definately not worth the prestige of 93 slayer. Personally id welcome the dragon platebody.

These items are worthless.

Yeah 10,000 is much better, thats 6.66 hours in active combat, meaning I would only have to make 170k per hour to make up for the loss of a whip. At 5000 you would have to make 350k per hour or you would lose money on the whip.
