I'm very disappointed in all of you. Look at yourselves.

"This cape shouldn't be in-game because no np waste"

"Setting insane goals takes the fun out"

"It's fine if only a few have it, but once most do it's not an achievement."

"The stats shouldn't be higher than a fire cape."

What the Hell is wrong with all of you? A cape that takes literally 2000+ hours of grinding shouldn't be better than a 30 minute fire cape? There's literally NO reason to get it then.

Are we going to forever sit and spin on nothing higher stats than what we currently have? IT'S A CAPE. IT'S NOT LIKE IT HAS BARROWS ARMOR STATS. The stats on it pre-eoc were perfect. Fire cape is great, and a good item to use, but for those of us that take the time to grind out this kind of cape should be rewarded with a truly pro cape.

Setting goals and maxing out a game is the point of video games. We can go at our own pace and enjoy ourselves. Not everyone has the unhealthy "no xp waste" and plays for 15 hours each and every day. There's a few that do, but don't punish everyone for that handful.

You people sicken me. This game needs to advance in order to evolve. Maxing has always been a plan of mine, and in OSRS I plan to do that. I'm still about 500 levels short, and I'm taking my time. But by adding a cape that's no better than what I have had in my bank for 2 years is making me just want to sit at 1700 forever.

Think for once people. This cape isn't the end of the world. EVERY SINGLE SKILL helps combat in some way. People with 2277 should have a best in slot to use. We've earned it. We did it all. Why should we have to suffer because you can't do the same? Nope.

Just over 100 people out of the several hundred thousands that play Old School have ever achieved max. As much as that is an incredible accomplishment and they should be able to show it off, other players should not be expected to live up to that sort of gameplay to be able to stay on the same level in PvM/PvP. @JagexRonan

So because I've grinded out max total, not just 70 range and 40 prayer, I shouldn't be rewarded with a cape that's more useful?

Are we going to forever sit on Fire Cape as the best in slot for the entire duration this game lives for?

The Pre-EoC stats for the Max Cape were hardly game breaking. (+5 attacks, +11 defences, +4 strength, +10 prayer) You have a little more accuracy and a prayer bonus. The strength bonus was the same at +4. It won't be a MAJOR difference. Considering the cape costs 2m is another thing; even with a blowpipe you won't spend more than 500k getting a fire cape.

Can we AT THE VERY LEAST make it the combination of all the current BiS capes? This would make it:

+6 Stab
+1 Slash
+1 Crush
+10 Magic
+4 Range

+11 to all Defences

+6 Prayer
+4 Strength Nope.

I don't see why the max cape need to be better then the fire cape. Yeah you spent years of grinding to be max. If you are gonna buff the max cape to be better then the fire cape, how about buffing the 3rd age cloak because it has the same stats as trimmed skilled cape.

3a Cloak you can just buy. 2277 you can't. Nope.

I don't agree with it. The idea of increasing your combat ability from farming /firemaking /fishing etc...
I believe combat related items should be acquired from doing combat, maybe the fight kiln for the upgraded firecape? Fire cape should be unique in its way.
What you mean no reason to get it? just because it does not give str bonus? its a damn trophy. With your logic sir, why try to win the world cup? Its only a 5kg club looking metal and if you get it, only keep for 4 years.

Contribute is far from doing combat, like fishing sharks where people bot it.
Plus the 2277 cape is a trophy like a metal badge, it does enough without having any stat.
