Overall I'm a bit disappointed in the fact we don't get a pet to follow us around. I'm a high level player who doesn't boss or know how to, so i don't have many opportunities to get pets. I would have liked to see some more innovation in this instead of me spending nearly 2m gp on one bond so Jagex can donate ~$2.78. How about using real gp to donate to the cause (like 1m cash). Its almost like you guys don't want us to donate because who's willing to shill out that much gp for a meager amount of reward? It takes some people quite some time to earn that much money. I rather donate *2 directly to WWF than spend hard earned gp.

As for the event itself, it seems to work pretty smoothly, except when I go to plant the trees. I clear the stumps with a spade and collect the pine seeds needed for the trees. When i try to plant the seeds, it says "A pine tree seed is growing here to help regrow the habitat..." etc, but i never used one seed from my inventory. I still have my spade, dibber, seeds and secateurs. This must be some sort of glitch, please address this.

I'm complaining that it hasn't passed a poll.
And that jagex keeps a part of the cut. If people would want to donate to WWF, they can do so directly. I would even have no problem with WWF awarding a code for an ingame pet. But this is just a way to raise the gp price of bonds, so jagex would sell more bonds.

who the heck cares besides you? its a charity event... did the first charity event pass a OSRS Poll?...

not everybody can afford to pay E's or $'s or whatever to WWF, plus this is just brining awareness to them.

Last years Royal Rhino event didn't even have the option to donate, but thats because the guys who were doing it said they didn't want your money.

All this hate is sad, charity events are run lots of times from various companies, and here I see hate on both threads.

I have to ask if these items are exclusive on OSRS or if they will come back like the other stuff has? I'll come get them but only because they might be exclusive, and I love cats.

Already donated 5 bonds on other RS for the cause and the pets, but I wish they were pets here too. Lost Woods numba 1, (NOT EE, Those scrubs are liars ;p)

I've always been a fan of WWF so it's nice to see RS having a partnership to bring about awareness!

Those of you that are complaining about the polling, bonds, updates, etc. Remember the main goal of all this is to bring awareness !

• I like things like this because it's like a little surprise, and if it's polled it definitely won't be a surprise. Polling is great, I love being able to throw my 2 cents into the mix! However, too much strictness on polling is ridiculous, it's as if you guys want RS to poll when they're allowed to use the restroom even.

• Regarding bonds, remember you can always bypass the bonds altogether and go directly to the WWF website and donate to them directly! The bonds donation aspect is for those who have in-game money to spare, at least in my view. Besides RS never said you have to donate through bonds or not donate at all, which is how some of you are acting. They even gave the WWF website link, so go check out the WWF website which has lots of info and if you click on the "adopt" link there you'll find that you can pick and choose from a lot of items you can buy to help donate to the cause too. Any donation size I'm sure will help the cause so check out the "donate" link on the WWF website too.

• As for the updates, I'm sure RS has allotted time and employees for special things like this so that they won't affect the planned updates that others are waiting for. Everyone's complained and moaned so much I'm sure by now they've received the message and understood to not compromise expected updates. However, remember just like IRL things don't always go how you plan so things may be delayed due to issues that came up as they were working on the updates we wanted, so be realistic!

Personally, I would've liked the cats to be pets but I don't understand the pet system (I don't boss yet) so it may not have been feasible but I'm still glad RS and WWF are working together for this event :D

This event directly manipulates the demand of bonds, without asking for a poll. Oldschool bonds have a very different economy and this kind of promotion is not appropriate for it. Very disappointed.

Exactly. They are supposed to be bonds for membership ONLY!
