Current max exp should not be increased ever
What are your reasons for that?
I don't see a problem with introducing new methods of training, as long as they don't make other methods useless. For example: Make the motherlode mine give higher mining experience once you start mining ores fast enough (at 90+ for example) than powermining granite. Powermining is still the fastest method for 60-90, but motherlode would be better at higher levels.
Because a lot of people want to be able to skill without their achievements being devalued. That's one of the major flaws with rs3 skilling, skills are constantly getting easier and skills are being devalued. That was one of the main reasons people chose osrs for skilling over rs3.
I should be able to quit and come back 2 years from now and my achievements should be just as hard to get as they are now so my time wasn't wasted.
If people want to add new training methods that's fine with me, make them more afkable and slower exp or add ways that are more profitable etc but devaluing achievements with faster exp isn't something most of the skilling community want.
If you're playing to quit, just quit.
I never said I was playing to quit, I think you missed the point. When I say I could quit for 2 years that could be substituted with pked, or pvmed or trained my skills for 2 years, it doesn't really matter. The point is, I shouldn't spend 1k hours getting an achievement and then a few weeks/months/years after I get that huge achievement an update comes out that now triples the exp for that skill and everyone can now get that achievement in 300 hours and it is no longer much of an achievement.
