This is gonna be a total flop and a waste of time. Why don't you focus on improving the actual game instead. Or will there be another try at old school rs when you've ruined the game for the second time? Every promise that was made in the beginning of old school has been violated.
Old School Phase 2! They reset the servers to that initial back up. lol
I played in the year 2007, and I played OSRS on release.
I haven't played OSRS for much time, they hadn't done anything more than NMZ. Today the game looks, feels, and plays like a private server. It is NOT the game they promised us. It's a game created by players.

I don't like it.
Wait, what. Your problem is that they dont force things on you, but ask you if you would like to see an update? Even if I'm against deadman mode, what you just said is weird.
So, will quest rewards such as xp be enhanced by 5x? Also, I feel that they should implement something similar to the slayer block task allowing for every 50 qp you to insure another skill 150 allowing a 3rd combat skill and quest cape a 4th combat skill. Allowing for a larger incentive to quest and train all your skills for a high risk high reward as well as the large time investment that questing will take.

I really think quest xp should be 5x. Everyone would be killing each other to do waterfall quest which would shoot everyone near mid 40 ATK & STR. It'd be profitable to kill RCers and they'd hire runners and guards. *Cers/Fletchers would have an easy life inside Gnome Stronghold or Varrock. Magicians would teleport. Slayers would have the most dangerous job but the most rewarding. I bet people would stay with Tureal until combat level 90+. The 2 most combat stats people will protect would be STR & ATK or RNG & DEF... Magic would be pretty meh until someone was able to monopolize tabs.

Instead of making deadman mode, how about you revive some of the content that's dead, man.
See what I did there? Srslytho this update will be terrible for the future of our game. Can't believe it's passing.
What do you mean you can't believe it's passing? It's an exciting new gameplay option other than pvming bosses and standing in banks while in pvp worlds. And guess what? It doesn't effect the people that vote no at all if it doesn't pass. Just don't play it if you don't want it, simple as that. It does nothing to hinder the future of OSRS.
I played this game back in the day because it was exciting. I've lost that excitement because the game has become easy and boring for me. This new game mode offers excitement because it brings a uniqueness to an aging game by requiring people to strategize and plan out their every move. It's a challenge and doesn't allow people to play it safe. High risk to lose everything, high reward to cash in on millions of a kill. That's fun to me, and fun to the other 80% of the people that also voted yes on this.
Again, don't play it if you don't like it. This passing does not ruin the game in any way, shape, or form.
I very much hope that
1. The safe zones will end up small and few enough not to be overly intrusive, but large and many enough to be decent breathing room.
2. There will be enough restrictions on what can be accomplished in safe zones, and enough incentives to leave them often enough.
3. The availability of resources and xp sources can be managed properly for the population.
4. There are enough people playing at a given time to keep the likelihood of interaction (of whatever sort) high, but not so many that the landscape is choked of resources entirely. That there are still deserted or relatively deserted spots left (although you could be interrupted at any time). There must be fluid windows of opportunity to keep the population circulating and the availability of diverse resources fluctuating.
5. There can be some form of control that would prevent the largest couple of clans from completely dominating a resource or area consistently.
6. That this can actually make it through the community.
I would absolutely love to be on the front wave of this should it break.
This mode would absolutely increase the frequency and consistency of my subscription dramatically.
I still think there are way too many safe spots, this mode needs to be very dangerous, Why the hell is the whole gnome stronghold safe? that should def be dangerous, and the whole city of varrocck come on this is babyscape, I would only make lumbridge****, some banks, and pestr control safe, nothing else.
