most comments on reddit and here want the proposed 95 slayer, will the option "if Cerebrus passes in the poll what slayer level should it require?" should have stayed 95 slayer, very disappointed in the lack of requirements for end game content and best in slot is becoming.

I have some feedback/concerns about the updates...

Boss slayer tasks
For the Boss slayer tasks... We can already get tasks for Zammy, arma, kq, and Dks, will these bosses not be on the list of assignable bosses? I think that would be best.
For the god wars boss slayer tasks will it only be the generals or also the minions? I think this needs to be specified.

Cerberus - The hellhound boss
Ranger boots come into the game very slowly. The same goes for Infinity boots. It would be best, therefore, to make the Melee Collar most common, and the Mage/Range collar far rarer. (or you could make all three very rare)
The longterm issue I can foresee, would be the collars becoming more common than the original boots themselves. This would obviously make the boss unprofitable, it would be better to have the collar drops far rarer than to let this happen.
The other issue; The upgraded ranger boots require 75 Defence, Many pures exist in this game, Every ranger boot that is turned into the upgraded version will be one less ranger boot for pures, this would cause a massive increase in the price of ranger boots.
In my opinion the boot drops should be separate. No combining should be necessary.

Smoldering Axes/hatchets
In my personal view, this update should be added in a different way. Perhaps a future new minigame? Don't overdo it.

Abyssal Sire - The abyss boss
Looks awesome, proud to vote yes for this one as it looks well balanced.

One minor concern: Will the area be multicombat or single? If multi, how will ironmans be able to do this update if they get crashed? Will a instanced option be available?

Additional slayer reward points purchases
The list shown should be expanded to more tasks, (if possible)

Herb sack
I like the number of points required for purchase, seems to be a solid amount.


And for the other poll questions unmentioned I'll be voting yes to, thanks for these great future updates.

Gets a new best in slot ranged weapon plus additions to the 2 best staffs in the game only a couple of months ago alongside a ranged/ magic only boss whilst melee received no weapon.

This is EXACTLY what one of my previous posts is referring to.

It is apparently perfectly ok for melee to get more,more and more despite them having:

Piety, the highest dps at max levels, the best equipment variety, the more reliable specs, the most reliable k0 potential, the highest PvM efficiency, able to use most gear without any penalties at all, etc.

Yet..when someone asks for more mage/range content, they bring up the Staff of the Dead and Blowpipe. They seem to be forgetting all of the updates melee has gotten since Osrs's launch and focus on ONE mage and range update instead.

Melee bias at its finest.
OSRS Mage Tank.


Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

Blowpipe, 10% increase in enchanted bolts from diary, Armadyl crossbow, Staff of the dead, Trident, Toxic Trident, Toxic staff of the dead, Iban staff (u), Slayer helm (e) Salve ammy (e) Imbue, Archer/seer ring imbues, Occult necklace, Smoke Battlestaff, Black chins, Odium/malediction ward, 3a wand/bow, Imbue for msb, Elite void, Broad bolts, New Lunar spells. Crystal bow Imbue.

What do we got for melee?
Tentacle, Serpentine, Crystal halberd, 3a ls, D defender, ardy cloak, Zerk (i), leaf bladed sword, Treas/tyranical, cheaper bgs specs, crystal halberd.



Sorry, but your claims are not true. If anything, you, (being this "mage tank&quot ;) ) are biased against melee.

Nice assumption but completely wrong.

Lack of variety is the issue and this includes range. If I was biased, I would not be wanting rangers to get updates since they tend to have a fairly large advantage over me.

The simple fact is, melee does not need more content-for a considerable amount of time, much less weapons.

Gwd was one of the earliest updates and piety has existed since the release. So piety can't count. Gwd also helped out ranged with full armadyl armor. Not to mention that you must use ranged to kill half of the godwars bosses.

I do agree though, in the beginning the godwars update was melee biased, but they fixed it with acb and sot*.

The best thing you could do for yourself would be to stop patrolling this thread, play the game, and be grateful for the updates we have been given for ranged/mage.

It's too late to be passive. If mages and rangers just stand around and "be grateful" for what they have..how far will melee go? Shouldn't it be the meleers who should be grateful since they already have the most content?

Yes, by but that time what is 95 slayer worth? This happened in rs2, by the time any "high" level slayer content came about a good percentage of the game had it.

Also why are you posting exclusively to reddit and not the official forums?

I'm seriously hoping that the boot prices work out so the range and mage boots are not astronomically high. I still think we need boots in-between ranging and these high level boots Somewhere in the range of 55-60.

The abby dagger and maul shouldn't share the same special attack. The dagger should get a bleed special attack however double accuracy should be dropped. With that I imagine people would be more willing to vote yes to this.

Then of course the abby maul that's proposed, something along the lines of having a increased veracs effect. Maybe even a special attack that boosts your defence for a short period of time based on what you hit for tanking purposes. Anything other than copy and pasting the dagger special attack. I even had the idea that corp beast could drop a dark core hammer or an attachment that could be put on a dragon war-hammer at some point. Would be more interesting than just a abby maul imo.

EDIT: How are things being balanced so the maul doesn't devalue the sara sword or am I missing something?

As for better drops has hellhounds even been addressed yet? It'd be interesting if they were given a slayer requirement and dropped hide that you could use on black *hide for improved stats or effects.

I think it should also be addressed that you should get some sort of benefit from not using Nieve's dungeon. As it stands you kill off places where you'd normally go for these things. Some form of increased drops or xp while only on a slayer task could counteract this. Such things as a 5-10% chance of getting a noted dragon bone rather than a regular one while on task in the taverly dungeon.

Hopefully high level magic and ranged gloves are addressed, hopefully with Zeah. Hell you could even add mid tier (level 60) gloves to spiritual mages and rangers for their respective style. This would revitalize them as a slayer task.
