The new boots are just going to be attachments for boots already in game? :O

I would like new level 75 boots, but currently the stats for them are even better than Pre-EoC Glacor boots, steadfast, glaivens, and ragefires.

Not to mention the part about them being attachments to current boots. It really should just drop the boots. I hope this mechanic is polled.

Dragon boots, a "rare" drop (1/128) from a relatively easy monster. On top of them being not that much better than rune boots, which aren't that much better than climbing boots or adamant boots.

Then Infinity boots, a little tedious and time-consuming to get, but relatively easy to acquire from the Mage Arena mini-game. With the next best alternatives being wizard boots and mystic boots.

And finally Ranger boots. Ranger boots being a rare treasure trail reward. The closest alternative being snakeskin boots and frog-leather. Stats-wise, these boots are not nearly as close to the best as the current magic and melee boots alternatives.

Having them be irreversible attachments on a rare treasure trail reward is kind of ridiculous. And in the end it doesn't even provide an alternative for rangers, just expands the (wealth) imbalance even further.

We've had far more than 12% of dev time devoted to the 12% priority given this in the last survey...it's far beyond time to devote dev time to other areas already damn it.

Oh, and basing a 95 slayer req for Cerberus on a strawpoll taken in an offsite forum is ridiculous.

And considering that you're placing in inordinately high slayer req on Cerberus, that needs a slayer/boss task to slay...when I have NEVER been handed a hellhound assignment from Duradel, the HIGHEST slayer master...

...can you see where I'm going with this?

It is true that Duradel assigns Hellhounds less frequently than Nieve.

I expect that this will be changed before the boss is released.

So disappointed to read about the changes.

Slayer helm only working on like half the boss tasks seems so illogical.

Hellhound boss requiring 95 slayer is just unnecessary. I was really hoping this one to be a slayer boss that anyone with high enough combat could kill regardless of their slayer level. Now all the bosses are locked behind really high slayer requirements. Considering only a few people complained about the lack of a slayer requirement, I think this change was just plain stupid.

I think one of the biggest problems here is also the fact that you were basically telling us that 'hey, we're releasing a new boss for you all slayer lovers to enjoy' and then 'never mind, we decided to lock the boss behind a requirement that fewer than 3,000 of you meet'

And the herb bag... oh, why...
Not sure how I'm gonna be voting anymore...

I don't like the slayer cave as it is let alone the fact that they want to expand it. The whole layout of the cave is so simply designed it's like a checkerboard. This box is where you kill gargoyles. This box to the left is where you kill ne**ryaels. Imagine if Jagex made a massive square box and inside the box side by side were rooms with doors out the front with each and every type of slayer monster you can kill. This is virtually what the slayer cave is, and what it almost literally will be if they expand it. It deteriorates game experience. Specific monsters should be unique to specific places, as they were before the introduction of the slayer cave.

I've seen some posts with players worried about the easy accessibility to Abyssal Sire with just 85 slayer but the drops aren't great - it should be easy to get to. (Otherwise it would be useless to kill similar to Kalphite Queen.)

Apart from that everything else looks great.

I'm extremely disappointed with these changes it doesn't make any sense, the whole idea of boss slayer was to have the effect from the helmet therefore allowing more incentive to do slayer when bossing. I personally do not have I high slayer level at the moment and I was looking forward to this content but adding the level 95 for the hellhound boss has taken that away from me. Hellhound are still the same old dreadful task so I think there is changes to be made as now this update is completely irrelevant to me and not what I hoped it would be when I voted.

Overall the dev blog looks great, it’s nice to see a Slayer expansion so packed! With that being said, I’ll throw my two cents in.

-Boss Slayer
This is an update that many of us have requested for a very long time, and it’s quite a disappointment to see that in the Dev blog, it’s announced the way it is. It would have been nice to have a separate Slayer Master or option to get boss based tasks, however I see no problem with offering it as an unlockable task for 200 Slayer points, one of the bigger disappointments to me is that I believe it should be one of two options, such as:
1) “Kill 37 Giant Mole’s” or “Kill 32 Zulrah’s”
2) “Kill 23 boss monsters in the Godwars Dungeon”

Secondly I strongly disagree with not allowing those on a Slayer task benefit from the Slayer Helm, it really defeats the purpose of the mask that so many of us enjoy. When most of us Slay and receive a task that we can use the Slayer Helm (at the boss variant), we always look forward to getting a Dagganoth, Aviansie, Greater Demon task, why should player who participate in Slayer be punished because a select few are too lazy to get their Slayer up? You should allow the Slayer Helmet to function as intended, and work on ALL tasks!

Nothing much to be said about this task, It’s great that it’s finally being added.

I’m glad the Jad pet is in the blog, and I love the system about obtaining the pet via completion of the cave, as well as sacrificing the cape. The only downside is that there’s people out there who have camped the caves obtaining 50 & 100 capes in preparation for the release, maybe we could have an additional option for someone to purchase the pet for “x” amount of capes on top of this new system?

The boss has a great concept, hopefully it can live up to how it sounds. The level 95 Slayer requirement is definitely a positive, as it gives game ending content, and something for players to work towards. I hope that you guys stick to the requirement, I was disappointed in the past when you removed the 95 Runecrafting requirement from the diaries. The boot drops sound interesting, I don’t see any issues with them, very happy they don’t degrade, and the benefit of infusing it with the current top tier boots will allow the prices to stay stable. I’m a little neutral on the infernal tools, they will be a positive update, however I wonder how often people will actually use them considering they degrade after 5,000 uses. Always glad to see a pet for the respective boss.

- Abyssal Sire
Another interesting concept, however with this Slayer boss only requiring 85 Slayer, I worry that it’s going to be extremely crowded if it doesn’t have an instanced area. On top of that with the way the server stability has been recently from the DDOS attacks, I’m not positive I’d even feel comfortable fighting it in an instanced area without some form item recovery system upon death. I honestly don’t see the dagger passing a poll, as It’s really only going to benefit in a PvP scenario, it may be of more use to introduce a sword with a similar special attack, so it can be used in PvP, as well as an alternative to those who PvM. I support the Abyssal Sire dropping whips, and its own pet.
