Completely off topic, but i would be really interested to see skill masters that set tasks, and have there own unique rewards. much like slayer tasks, with masters, i think skills that had masters that set challenges and had "arenas" for events.

For example, a thieving master who will set you a challenge to steal X from Y. having a task to break in to and steal whatever valuable object and then get out without being caught. and of course having varying levels of masters w/ increasingly difficult houses & better rewards. having a full thieving outfit with a percent boost on XP would be really cool, considering what most people do now is just plunder.

i think this would add some really fun aspects to skilling, since a lot of skilling is either afkable or botted. master farmers pockets gotta be empty at some point you know?

Farming updates would be really nice too. considering it is very slow, some form of minigame other than sorc garden would be cool. like a wild growth maintainenc* game, higher levels can access wilder gardens/ more dangerous gardens? something to do in the downtime if you are wanting to grind just farming. & farmer outfit and boosts would be good, especially considering how long farming takes to do.

I personally like the idea of making new updates to the game as long as we keep the idea of the 07 Scape originality. This is a new game, i have been playing for 12 years all together, i have seen many updates change the game entirely, Jagex has learned from past mistakes through trial and error. I have seen the mods sit down and talk about a new spec weapon, and them bringing back dragon claws. dragon claws is far too powerful to bring into the game at the moment, people wouldn't be able to combat against the attack of dragon claws. as there is no Armour protect against it effectively. we should introduce a new spec weapon a good one that will give some players a good advantage while they are pvping. what if you guys introduce that abyssal dagger into the game. i have seen pictures and theories about it. why don't you give it a decent stab bonus and make the special attack like dragon dagger special but upon the second swipe of the dagger, have the opponent teleport directly behind the other. im sure with some modifications and trial an error you guys could develop a very effective and balanced player versus player and player versus monster spec weapon. i so hope this post gets noticed i think this could be a very fruitful idea.

Why is the wilderness not being paid attention to?

It is obviously the only factor and component of OSRS that is keeping it as popular as it is today.

LOL. You are the minority mate. OSRS is PvM intesive. It's been seen in polls and requested updates. The only reason your wilderness is even remotely popular is because PvMers are risking their necks to pvm the bosses out there. Nobody is interested in pking.

The post below is my thoughts exactly, you see, ...
*Why is the wilderness not being paid attention to?

It is obviously the only factor and component of OSRS that is keeping it as popular as it is today. Yet with all the flaws the wilderness has, and the many suggestion thread that appeared on the forums, no moderator took the time to reply to any of them.

All of these updates are not within the OSRS time frame, they are not attracting potential or past customers and are not what the majority is asking for. While I appreciate all the work going into these updates, Jagex must realize that OSRS is popular because:

OSRS can be like many games out there, but no games out there can be like OSRS

Alas, we are just moving towards a down graded version of RS3 with all these updates. Please fix the core components before introducing new updates like these!

The wilderness needs LOTS of attention and if you guys took 10 minutes to just read how much fixing the wilderness needs and take 10 minutes to realize how vital the wilderness is to OSRS players you would devote much of your time to it.

Any who, I hope you guys realize this before it is too late. I personally have 2 threads about the wilderness which have great popularity but no Jagex Mod has taken the time to reply.

I do not understand why all the updates the past months have been dedicated to slayer and diaries. This is why I quit the minute diaries came to OSRS, it is because Jagex seems to be so committed to diaries and allocates so much time into them when they are not such a huge factor of the game, for gods sake they were not even part of 2007!*

...WE ALL PLAY TO PK, Please make pking more risk worthy, as-in the raw-massacre type style risking in 3minute penalty 2008 BHmedcraters. Massive loots, massive carnage.
Do not make it "New", simply re-add what it has lost, For example:
I REMEMBER MY FIRST TIME rune collecting at the castle level 18 wilderness fourth room, * seeing a dscimi pure!

I hope they will be making quality updates, which means there might be a month off from a new update, the recent content speed is eating up the origins of Osrs as far I know, in between there has been also good updates, but I hope they'd balance updates into PvP/Quests/PvM so everyone will get something & not all went into the only one category, by the way, most of the players are more into Pvp/Minigames/Skilling and I think that has been the one of the major ''Factors'' why Osrs has been running such far by now.

Hmm, I might as well continue with stalking these community updates, both; the good and not-so-well managed ones. Will see how this will be turning out, so far, I'm happy with the HQ, whenever it's going to be in-game. ;)
Just looking around here,

and

I love fluffy sheeps.

In the good old days, The Wilderness was filled with people. Hill Giants, Dark Warrior's fortress, Demonic Ruins,... Nowadays there's barely anyone there and the ones that are there are going with their clan or stay in low level wilderness. The guys who say that OSRS is not all about the Wilderness should leave and play RS3 instead. They have no idea what they're talking about and weren't there in the glory days of the Wilderness, before those crappy Revenants and that bounty hunter area got added.
