I think you should really settle down...

Even if you don't think this game needs update, that is not the point, it will have updates any way. There is no link with EoC and all of that, this is just the place to talk about the upcoming updates... (By the way, it is Old School Runescape and not 07)

Rather than getting mad at Jagex and other players, you could suggest some alternatives... that would help.

I think that these update suggestions are great. As some other players said, maybe that the Wilderness needs update, but we can't do everything at once.

So far, I think that the Dev team did a good job and that if you want them to listen a bit at your ideas, some of you should really change their approach towards the mods.

Probably that another priority poll should be done somewhat soon to see if that is still what players want at the moment. As for myself, I appreciate the efforts on the actual Dev Blog.

I hope players will stop to get mad at each other everytime an update comes out and debate for no reason. I don't know if many other players agree with me, but I'm getting tired of all this hostility on the forums...

There is no need to be mad, after all it's just a game.

(There's also no need to post a reply to tell how I'm so idiot and wrong, please just be mature guys.)

Lol Dru ze, no need to troll. Updates are necessary to keep any game alive whether you like it or not. If content is never added or changed, the game will become stagnant and people will lose interest. There must be a balance of keeping the game a dynamic experience and not creating game-breaking updates. Anything that causes damage to the game's economy or makes any important aspect of the game unplayable should not be implemented, and for both of these reasons the EoC update stirred up much trouble and was overall very detrimental to the player base. As long as updates are balanced properly before they're implemented, there's no reason to simply shun anything new. Most importantly, have an open mind.

On a different note, I'm very excited about the Jad pet and fight caves task update. Just the motivation I need to take a break from what I'm doing now to finally get my fc. However, one thing that I'm very much hoping for is that the Jad pet is obtained as an uncommon/rare drop from completing the caves rather than turning in a set number of fire capes. The capes are the main reason to do the caves after all and taking that away seems rather counter intuitive. Thanks for reading!

The idea of 07 is to have a version of the game that has and will always have the same core RuneScape gameplay. But still, without updates, the game will die. I understand that sometimes they mess up, but in most cases, they patch every glitch/oversight. ~Petros, the Doctor

Why is the wilderness not being paid attention to?

It is obviously the only factor and component of OSRS that is keeping it as popular as it is today. Yet with all the flaws the wilderness has, and the many suggestion thread that appeared on the forums, no moderator took the time to reply to any of them.

repeated polls have proven that the wilderness is NOT the important part of the game pkers think it is.

Carrying on, OSRS started off with 100K players when it was first released

when osrs first started off, a large percentage of players came here expecting to be able to move their rs3 accounts here. when they didn't they thought they could get easy fast exps, like private servers do. when they could get either, they left.

the game has been growing since the 3rd month of the game, when all of those left. most of those were pkers that thought they could buy fast levels so they could simply pk at what ever level they wanted.
frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

Many postings have requested updates focusing on pvp and revitalizing the wilderness in terms of multi pking. Bounty hunter was a fair update but has not been improved at all since its initial implementation. Bounty hunter is largely edge fights between accounts in dh, zerkers, or pures while BH wholly neglects range and mage. Furthermore I bought the costly teleport to target spell and it is entirely useless BH must be improved to incentivize A) players to move deeper into the wilderness, or B) to multicombat zones, if not both A, and B. Additionally or alternatively slayer updates should include weaponry to allow rangers and mages to compete in edgeville. Further high level prayers may be introduced which would allow for more dynamic combat in wilderness and PVP rather than the current dh, zerker, and pure fights catered to in edgeville BH.
