I like the overall idea but there are a few drawbacks... The navigation bar doesn't have the same Oldschool feel to it, and the characters on each page are too RS3-like. I'd love to see the hiscores look closer to the style they currently are, as well. It's MUCH more functional than the one RS3 currently employs. Simplicity is always best IMO.

The website does look better, but I prefer the smaller version. This one won't be fully visible on half my screen, the current one is. Zaros is evil: "Zaros plainly requested the use of twelve legions of demons. (..) Zaros offered the secrets of travel between the worlds, to allow the Chthonians to devour whole new races rather than be reduced to preying on each other." From Sliske's Memory

I agree with the new changes. Coming from a marketing background it only makes sense.

Unfortunately, in this day and age and how quickly things progress we cannot stand by the phrase "That's the way its always been." Old school players that really do enjoy this game need to understand the nostalgia needs to be pushed aside a bit to attract younger, new players to this game with more appealing imagery so that we may continue to play and increase the player base.

After looking at the screenshots posted it seems as though everything "informational based" on the pages will stay basically the same, just with some visual changes and some functionality improvements; which I strongly am in favor of.

The only things I would recommend in addition to the current Mach Up is the integration of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, YouTube, etc). This will provide many more outlets for Old School Runescape to be viewed and also improve the overall SEO of the website.

I hope that my input has lent a hand! Keep up the good work!

Although I understand the fear of veteran players ( or whoever they may be) that OSRS is becoming too progressive and deviating from the original golden period of OSRS, sooner or later we will need to progress to survive as a game. I would rather the team take risks and ensure the longevity of the game by attracting new players rather than maintain a game without any change at all. We are not all going to be playing Runescape forever and it would be nice if Runescape did survive in the future with newer players rather than end up with 100 players (like RSC is now) :)

Make the navigation bar and artwork less RS3-like and it's fine. You're perfectly capable of making a modern website while retaining the oldschool feel and art. As it currently is, it looks like a bad RS3 copy/paste. How are new players going to know which version to play when they both give off the same feeling and style?

There are 2 things I can see which would make people accept this more.

First off AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, it sort of looks "empty" in a sense seeing as the 2 pillars with the vines on them are missing. If possible, could you add them to the sides of the new page to add more of an in-depth feel to it? These are pretty iconic to the homepage currently and it would also look empty without them.

Secondly, a toggle on/off option would be awesome like they have with mobile sites. The ability to switch between the current homepage and the new one would be awesome because the new one could be the default while the old one is set manually for those of us who feel it is something they are not willing to give up just yet.
