Hey guys,

But again this is purely feedback for a TAPP project and not something that we are definitely going to do. The guys working on this are not game content developers so this will have no impact on your gaming experience :)

I disagree. I say going to the highscores, checking the game's news, buying membership, checking the forum, loading up a game world is very much part of the gaming experience.

In fact I would go as far as to say a gaming experience is impossible without these things. All these things also have one more thing in common, the website, the oldschool runescape website. Change the website and the perception of all the other aspects I just mentioned will also be affected.

I'm not comforted by the fact that these developers are not specifically game content developers, but webpage developers instead. If they fail to appreciate the values of the game (which are not to merge with EOC-scape), it makes no difference which part of the OSRS gaming aspect they hack away at, it will still be hacking and it will still be destructive.

I would hope in your reviewing of the feedback, that you also take a look at all those completely opposed to the idea, and at least consider putting this crazy idea to a poll before you suddenly release it.
It would be much appreciated to have the ability to vote this down, even though it's a far out idea, which to my knowledge had no overwhelming popular support before it was introduced by the mods. It seems to me like the mods are steering the direction of the game updates towards EOC or merging with the EOC-scape, by introducing them like this to gain support, although this is speculation and there could actually have been huge support for this new website before it was introduced by the mods.

On the other hand, I imagined it would work like this: Players discussing among themselves new content on the forums and the mods would post and eventually maybe poll that.

Tanngnjostr, I could not agree anymore with your points. You're pretty much spot on.

To simply put it. One change such as this which is closer to what the EOC is would just pull other things that are of Old School Runescape to be something that is no longer Old School. It starts with one thing updated and then another to kinda match with it.

I don't think so. Next thing you know they'll end up changing the welcoming interface after you log onto Runescape to match the website.

What I'm saying might sound a bit extreme but it's VERY plausible...

This looks great! However, I have an idea. I believe a lot of people still prefer the old website design, so I believe it would be a good idea to keep the old website design, and add a drop-down menu, at the bottom of the page to toggle between the original website design to the newer one. :D

A big NO to the new website layout...

The old one looks great and doesn't need "improvement", let's not change the website to look RS3 -styled. Instead of focusing on a new website design why not implement an oldschool forum on the oldschool website? can't stand the rs3 design and as a result In ever go to the OSRS forums apart from reading the developpers blog*

**;dr Old one looks fine, new one looks bad
