I think bonds are a great idea. It's very easy to think about those considered wealthy in our real world and that gives them such a better advantage over others. Who cares? Think about your own Runescape adventure and don't let others determine how you play the game.

It brings me back to over 10 years ago when I started playing. I was young and did not have a lot of personal money to pay for membership. It was easy for me to make in game cash. Bonds would have helped me pay for membership using the money I worked hard for in game.

Think about the players who don't have the advantage that you may have. They should be able to enjoy Runescape as much as me and you. Bonds are there to help them!

You may not agree with me, but that's ok. It will not affect how I play!

When I read your post, I theorized something that could have happened in the real 2007. If bonds came out at that time, there would be an explosion of membership numbers and F2P players would have more incentive to work on their skills and get membership. It would've been quite cheap to obtain (1-2m in-game gp). Regardless of your real-life financial situation, you could easily get members and all without asking your parents (I know that feel). The result is people would play and stay longer; a lot of happy people and maybe RWT could have been crushed by then.

Sadly, bonds were released at a time where the game's population had severely dwindled due to extremely controversial updates over the years. In addition, RS3's economy is in a colossal mess, which contributed to the price of one bond being over 8 million (at the time of post), discouraging most F2P players into buying a bond for themselves.

This is all a theory and everything could be totally wrong. But who knows.

So on the topic of the Morytania Legs and its rewards, what ever happened to the 50% reduced smelt time of cannonballs at the Port Phastymus furnace after the completion of the Morytania Medium tasks? I remember seeing that as a perk right when the Achievement Diaries came out, and after doing all of the quests and skill requirements for level 2, I was pretty disappointed when I discovered that the perk doesn't exist anymore.

Please poll bonds separately so we can see how people really feel:

Here's an example:

Do you want f2p? YES might get 98.3% (possibly would be the highest yes vote of any poll ever created)

Do you want bonds? YES might get 3% (maybe even the lowest of any poll ever done)

You make it sound like players voted YES to bonds, when it was really just snuck into the vote for F2*. On your facebook, you didn't say much about bonds, but made sure people saw the
F2P COMING TO OSRS!!!

Please keep some integrity and at LEAST poll bonds to gauge what the players actually thought of them!!!!!

Players wanted f2p SO BAD, that they were willing to vote 'yes' to bonds. It is like having 'riders' on bills in the government. Vote YES to this, but oh ya-we will be sneaking in something terrible for the environment.

I hope I explained this correctly. It really is how it happened.

Reading through majority of posts, there are a lot of disgruntled people against bonds and how slow things are going. I don't think most of you are taking into account the OS team's perspective.

Let's take this into perspective. You play this game (OSRS) for free most likely (F2P or purchasing bonds via RS3 - no revenue for Jagex) and argue content isn't coming in super-speed. Majority of you need to realize, creation and/or implementation takes time. Sure, I've been waiting for bonds since mid-March and I am not thrilled, but I understand what efforts are needed and remain patient.

Give the OSRS team a break - it's a small team and they're doing a good job.

TLDR: Don't play if you can't be patient/don't like how the OS team is running (they run based on polls and feedback from the players).

Good job on fixing minor bugs in the game and giving us a game plan for the upcoming week in regards to content. Keep up the good work Jagex. :)

This looks good! I think these are good and useful updates which overall contributes towards the OSRS experience.

On a different note, I remember you guys said in a weekly blog (on your YouTube channel) that resizable mode would arrive somewhere around easter. Are you guys making any progression on that, or is it being delayed or deprioritized for other projects?

Anyways, keep up the great work!

Yay for crystal halberd being slightly less ****. I don't think I'm ever going to do the tasks for that thing, but maybe if you made it very effective to use it on Zul'rahs ranged phase it could at least have a purpose for the people who did earn them.
