They can't let people have membership without SOMEONE paying €/$/£ for it.

The reason why bonds where even brought up for osrs was for people to use in game gp to pay for members. So if they use a ncp that sells bonds for a static price only changeable by jmods, they will create a gp sink, people can pay gp for members, and avoid the whole "buy your way to success" aspect.

If bonds don't originate from purchases with real money, they're basically giving membership away for free. That's not something they're ever going to do.

Oldschool RuneScape is a service which is sold by a business. While Jagex may have fun developing and selling this product, they still gotta eat. Making membership not cost any real-life money would be a *terrible* business move.

Bonds, as they are now, will make Jagex *more* money. What you are proposing would make Jagex *less* money.

Just read the near miss poll section again, and noticed a lack of mentioning the change to godsword's accurate attack style? It passed and honestly, I can't see that taking long. Hopefully it will be in the next update?
