I spent 2 years creating a new account from scratch. I'd rather use the money and resources that I gathered myself for the new account to get pking as soon as possible.

Like the Annoucment post said For the first 24 hours of in-game time on a newly made F2P account players will not be able to trade items off their account. They can still receive items but they cannot trade their items away.


You can stil put all your items on ur account right away..you can still pk

F2P PKing should not be limited. It was always fun to make a new account and PK in Varrock. If players have to wait 24hr in game time whats the point.

If you want these restriction than they MUST be voted on first.

Restriction to trade and pking goes directly against the spirit of Old School.

In a previous Dev Blog, some P2P content was to be polled for F2P but due to bad feedback most of it was scrapped except Teleblock spell which failed the poll. However everything else in the Dev Blog wasn't polled, can we poll following content:

1) Bronze through rune boots - They would have more value and use from F2P players because they are seldom used by P2P players because players level up quicker due to quests and overall better items. There is a very low bracket of lower levels on P2P servers. P2P players would benefit equally by getting a bit more cash for their slayer drops.

2) Yew short bows - I don't feel that a bit more accuracy would hurt. I'm not entirely sure if rune arrows is a good or bad idea but those can remain members only.

3) Teleblock - There's almost zero risk of dying in F2P wilderness, if you are capable of teleporting when at 20 wilderness or lower. I feel this would give incentive for players to get 85 magic and add more risk to pking.

4) Mystic armor - This would include all colors. Melee has rune armor and rangers have green d'hide while mages have literally a piece of garment that gets wrecked by everything. (Wizard hat and Wizard robe top, the blue skirt gives zero magic bonus) Again this would help give more value to slayer drops, which benefits P2P just as equally.

5) Attack and defense potions - F2P already has strength potions and even the ability to make them indirectly by bringing the Apothecary in Varrock some ingredients. Attack and defense potions are rarely made or used by members, i feel the boosts on F2P isn't significant enough to be game changing.


6) Air, water, earth and fire wave spells - Rangers can hit rapid 18s+ with adamant arrows and melee can hit rapid 25s with rune scimitar while only wielding two items and a strength amulet that costs nearly nothing. Both of those classes out dps magic. Blood runes would gain more value, as they would be in high demand in F2P due to members mainly using tridents.

My main point that I will push on is that PvP in F2P is fun the way it is because of the low defence bonuses people are wielding.

1. Bronze through rune boots - I am against this because they increase defense bonuses and melee already has bronze through rune armour.

2. Yew short bows - Tbh, range is already pretty accurate in F2P. However, I do not know how much more accurate yew short will make range. Rune arrows is a definite no from me though.

3. Teleblock - This is something I do not mind, but would rather not have in F2P.

4. Mystic armour - I do not know how much more accurate it will make magic in F2P, but magic against Full Rune already has enough negative defense bonuses to make magic accurate enough. You seem to be more concerned with the defence bonus of magic robes, so Splitbark would be the beter option. This then leads to range being more innacurate against mages in F2P which would require a buff to range. Mystic robes seems like a decent idea, but I feel like it gives too much magic attack for F2P.

5. Attack and defense potions - Although they have no use in P2P, melee seems accurate enough in F2P. This is unnecessary as it will make melee more accurate and they already hit high enough. What about magic and ranging potions then? Will Rangers and Mages in F2P need them to make up for the melee pots? No to this from me.

6. Wave spells - This is a pretty good idea to add to F2P. However, this AND mystic robes is a no go from me. This will buff magic a little too much for my own liking. I think Snare should be added though.

If that's correct then I missed the part where you can put items on the account. I'm still a bit disgruntled about not being able to receive loot from PKing somebody.

I believe that the 24 hour trading limit will impact alot of the new players, and also effect the number of pkers that will come to f2p. Ofcourse alot join in on f2p pking for the fun, but the fun is in Pking ur oponent and getting his items not just pking ur opponent and seeing all his items vanish or not even drop. and 24 hours of ingame login is a looooooooong time.

i dont believe u need such strict f2p restrictions, f2p worlds and the area is alot smaller than p2p, there are less places to bot/macro without somebody seeing you. With the names that goldfarmers give the accounts an the lil time they spend changing the look of the character it is fairly easy to tell a bot from a normal player, alot of the bots should be banned fairly soon if people just reported them which im sure alot of people use the report system.

remove the 24 hour trade restriction or atleast make it so pkers can get the loot!! i wouldnt mind finding my way to some lvl 3 goldfarmer who is trying to kill their lvl 3 to get their items, and me killin em instead! mwuahaahahah

Edit: Add teleblock, it was originally f2p for as long as i can remmber. To many teletubbies in f2p
