Why don't people realize that the GE came out at the end of 2007, only months after what 07scape is based off of. The GE didn't cause price manipulation in RS3, tons of new, better, more efficient items and activities caused the price manipulation. In OSRS, the whip is one of the best, if not the best to train with, which is why it's still in high demand and worth as much as it is. In RS3, there are tons of better weapons than the whip, so clearly it's not in that high of a demand anymore. Plus, there is going to be no price manipulation with this GE, because there is going to be no fixed/controlled prices, which shows that 90% of the people debating against the GE haven't even read the entire Dev Blog and need to gtfo. I would rather play the game/train skills verses sit in varrock for hours on end attempting to buy/sell items. Plus, the trading post is complete **** right now, worse than **bez imo, because most people have private off.

To those talking about merching. Items won't sell for max price in the GE unless people offer to pay max price for those items. You don't spend more in the GE than you offer, you only pay less if that is available, which is a great thing! Buying items for less than you expected to pay always feels good.

I can see a lot of people stop playing 07 'scape if the Grand Exchange is introduced. Although I'm all for it, however.

Although the GE poll was heavily rigged and the most unfair poll ever in OSR, we just have to deal with it. The TP had so much potential to would have become bigger and better than the GE ever was, and now it's gone. One thing the TP had over the GE was it allowed you to view the cheapest offer and conduct trades at your own desire and leisure. Thus, you had real freedom to sell your items at any price you see fit. It wasn't a flawed system that was merely based entirely on herding and manipulation unlike the GE. The GE never had a system where players can view offers and make decisions on their own accord. What pains me the most is how the fledgeling TP could've surpassed the GE if it was given a fair chance. The only thing GE had over TP was the ability to post buy offers and trade over the system, which could've easily been added to the TP, yet the GE's auto-trade feature is also its biggest flaw because prices can easily be manipulated by the masses.

In order to work and not be a bad sequel to the GE in RS3, a system where players can buy or sell items without being coerced and herded by the masses needs to be implemented. It should allow you to view offers and buy or sell at your choosing rather than abolishing player-to-player trading and letting the system provide its own corrupt prices similar to how the TP worked.

Will 74.5% Pass or does it has to be 75%, atm we're on 74.6% so I don't know.
Anyone who knows?

Has to be 75% to pass, not a rounded-up number. Someone proved it earlier with stating the ranged def on Bandos Boots being added had 74.8% votes and it failed.

It is important for people to know this,
it HAS to be 75% or greater to pass or nothing.

It'll pass 75% don't you worry.

Yeah ok pal, keep telling yourself that.

He has a point, streamers are telling people how to vote, people are spamming worlds to vote yes, how is this not rigged?

Stop whining so much dude, it requires 75% which is a lot! The fact that you can see price isn't a big deal AT ALL and you can always set your own price at GE, there are NO price limits so why are you talking so much crap?

Sure TP could be somewhat decent but with GE with get lootshare/coinshare and not like few weeks of work won't be wasted on trying to make this GE global with all worlds involved...

All I've read from you on this thread has been you trying to say that "TP COULDVE BEEN HUGE IF GIVEN THE CHANCE ETC ETC" I couldn't care less about that bs so can you stop doing that. Majority has decided and it still has the chance to not pass because it's been rather slow with gaining past 74%

Although you can set your own prices, the fact is the GE price will be based on the masses, which easily paves the way for price manipulation as we've seen on RS3. That's its biggest flaw! Elite clans will have too much control over prices, and everyone will just continue to herd, which creates pseudo prices that rips off the average Joe and makes the elites richer.

Instead of herding your yes votes like sheep, look at the bigger picture. Know what you've voting for and the consequences involved. The TP could've been a way better solution than re-implementing the problematic GE in OSR because TP allows players to look over offers and choose the best offer for themselves.

Thus, the TP grants players a great degree of control over prices rather than a flawed system that tells you to buy or sell your items at a set price just because the masses are doing it. Again, it's like herding sheep. The blind leads the blind in this one.
