Regarding that, whether the GE is implemented or not, it is NOT a reason to quit Old School Runescape. The point of the game is to do everything like questing, minigames, etc, and not just trading. Changing the way trading works should not cause you to quit Old school.

It's impressive how fast they managed to ruin old school RS. This is what happens when you give players too much control
To be honest, it was already ruined for a big part because of these AFK magic and melee methods.
The one to blame for that is Jagex and their mismanagement.
Lets be honest they are not ruining old school with the implementation of the GE, it will only help the player base in the end and make the game more enjoyable by enabling players to spend less time in varrock west spamming junk and more time enjoying the game that they love. The fact that soooo many users are using a third party website to buy and sell proves that there is a major issue with the current trading system, you cant really argue that everything is perfect as is. Now for the veteran players that are playing for the nostalgia I'm sorry that the game is going to change but change isn't always a bad thing and keeping content out of a game because of the fear of change or lost nostalgia is stupid. OSR is the game that we all love and we need to work forward into making it a better game with a better community. As the poll stands now, with a 74% approval rating, we can clearly see what the majority are in favor of, argue what you want but democracy is the name of the game.

I think those that respond like this are attempting to take a least some control over a situation that they otherwise can't as the majority are in support of the GE. It's stupid and juvenile to threaten to quit, but I can somewhat understand their reaction.

Please dont try to dictate how a game should or should not be played.
When you say things like this you're ALWAYS excluding people and implicitely claiming to be superior over them, on the basis that you see your definition of this game as somehow more 'true' than what other people think
I myself would rather the GE is not implement into OSRS, however if it is I won't be one to kick up to much of a fuss. I really like the option of direct trading though the trading post.
Although if the GE does come to OSRS, I'll defiantly be voting for it to be in falador! Defiantly make it different to the one is rs3.
If it does pass, could the GE be updated to add the ability to see the actual buy and sell offers like we have with the trading post / Zybez? I hope we can poll this.
What I hate about the GE is that you only have the GE price to go by.
Guys, does the grand exchange have to get 75 percent on the poll to get it? isnt it close enough to completely pass? and if it is gonna pass how long do we have to wait mostly likley before more news?
The poll says until january 19th but its almost 75 on the 13th... ? thanks
