Firstly, let me start out by saying that I do support the addition of the Grand Exchange.

Personally I would be fine with the addition of the Grand Exchange. There are so many people worried about merchanting, yet by simply taking a trip to World 1 (Varrock West), you can find just about every item being flipped - only in this case players are using auto typers to flood the chat box.

I understand the bit about cutting player interaction, but is that five second window where players throw a simple "Thx" or "ty" after trading really worth holding back this update? Yes, the Grand Exchange is meant to remove some of the time restraints associated with buying and selling items, and those who have commitments outside of Runescape - who would rather not spend countless hours using auto chat to sell items from skilling or bossing - can still enjoy the game to the fullest without feeling as though it was a total waste of time.

I see this as a quality of life update that the game severely needs, and although the trading post was a step in the right direction, it's just not quite right. I am interested to see what future additions or alterations that the Development Team refers to in the main post, but until then I feel comfortable enough with voting "Yes" for the Grand Exchange.

I also admire a previous player's idea of having restraints on accessing the Grand Exchange, but rather than using a total level requirement, place time restraints. Perhaps an account must have 50 hours of play time (just an example) before being allowed access to the Grand Exchange. That way, even though there are ways of by-passing this time requirement, there would be ample trade logs to follow during possible investigations.

Anyways, there is my two-cents,
Cory

It's just infuriating to see all the work towards restoring 2007 Runescape go to waste with all these updates. They are defeating the whole purpose of osrs because these are the exact updates which set into motion the introduction of new runescape and rs3. Next thing you know we will start having polls dealing with PKing and graphics, which are things that were supposed to be avoided. Stop this and just leave 2007 Runescape the way it was supposed to be, it's infuriating.
