Why have we skipped the "tweaks" stage of the trading post and moved directly on to the GE being polled, with the "tweaks" being a "last resort, if-GE-doesn't-pass" option? Absolutely ridiculous imo.

Also, forget the dragon defender. What more strength bonus do we need? Pretty soon we'll all be hitting 60s on slayer tasks and we're right back on the same path that RS3 went down.

Mod Ash isn't at his desk right now so I can't ask him for the specific details but he has said that cross-world trading with the trading post would be incredibly problematic (from a technical perspective) and is likely never going to happen.

The trading post system that we have is built on Grand Exchange features. If we want to commit to advancing the trading post then we need to be sure that the player base do not want a Grand Exchange. We don't want to be in a position where we spend a significant amount of development time changing features that we end up wanting to revert a little further down the line. @JagexRonan

Just posted this on General, didn't realize part 2 would be up so quickly :/

OSRS is about doing most of the work yourself, which is why I believe this would be the best method to appease people wanting quick trade and those that believe in having to trade other players - compromise.

Trade channels:
Add to the TP a 'trade channel' where you can contact a player who has an offer up. It's not a CC or private chat, it's a chat channel located within the TP that connects the two of you from any world.
In this trade channel you can talk, send a trade offer, and make a trade on the specific item you searched for.

Bank sales:
Some people have a ton of items that they'd like to get rid of. This is where the 'bank sale' feature will come in. What this feature does once selected is put in offer up on a new section of the TP titled, 'Bank Sales'. It'll copy everything in your inventory and post it up as being for sale. You won't be able to add prices to anything, but you'll be able to communicate with people through your trade channel.

Everyone loved bank sales; I think this feature would be a lot of fun. Even if you're bored you can just skim the bank sales and you may find something interesting.

Pros:
brings back good ol' bank sales.
gets rid of having to leave pm 'on' to get spammed by bots
connects all worlds to one
still requires manual work of finding an item and trading
bringing back an Old School form of trading - bank sales

Cons:
Not a trading bot Everything stated here is forwarded from a major corporation. Nothing here is my opinion. Enjoy your salad.

Mod Ash probably stated that for sanding trades through the trading post. I'm 100% sure that you CAN send items crossworld. How do I know that? GE does exactly that and you propose it to us exactly as it was originally. Otherwise we would have to hop in order to buy an item through GE.
