The grand exchange is a terrible idea, this is 07 NOT Eoc, introduce buying offers in the trading post, take down offline traders, and it is essentially a ge without the automated trading, this is a perfect fit for oldschool.
The dragon defender is a DEFINITE NO I have seen the power of the whip especially the tentacle hitting 50+! The rune defender is a good fit and does not need to be OPPED!

The G.E. you're proposing doesn't seem any different at all to the G.E. in Runescape 3, but you seem to just be reiterating what exactly it is so players who are nostalgia freaks don't say:
"auto trading isn't Oldschool; we want to trade person to person"
"But trading person-to-person is extremely impersonal as it is, spamming stuff and trading with players whom you never speak to again"
"It keeps the community closer"
"We will never have the community we once had in the old days because our population is simply too high for people to be so close, especially when there are Ironman accounts, lone wolves."
"It's better than not trading person to person; this is one of the last things Oldschool has left that makes it Oldschool."

There's no need for a dragon defender. Especially when there's an overpowered shield slot item that does the same thing and even has venom. Even if this shield were to disappear (which it should) there's no need for a dragon defender.
I'm a huge fan of Construction; love the skill. In particular I'm absolutely fascinated with the
Player-Owned House Dungeon.
My dream is for everyone to be able to build their own personal PvM challenge, one that rivals even current content.

Personally, I've played since 2005, and I think the Grand Exchange would be one of the best updates OSRS could get.

I've just not seen any real arguments against it.

I want it because I see no reason for trading to be a chore. Trading does not take skill. (If someone thinks so, then, um.. congratulations! Now let's move on how to "folllow" someone) ~_~

If something takes time, then there should be a reason. For example, some skills take time because there are achievements unlocked within that skill the more time a player spends training it.

I see no reason to keep something "just because we've had it this long." That's hardly a valid reason. Why keep something that serves no purpose?

To those who say the Grand Exchange would kill player interaction, I have one thing to say to that. Lol.

A main counter argument I've seen it, "but then you'd probably be ok with free 99's! or well you might as well have jagex put in an item generator!!"

Much clever, very wow, such witty.

To people saying they are tired of "merc*" offers, which G.E will aparently fix:
When you instantly buy something off the G.E, it is bought from a merchanter, no matter if it's some pure essence, a dragonfire shield or a rune plate, you're buying it from someone who took the time to buy bulk of the item for a lower price, and sells it for a higher price to people too lazy to wait like you. G.E just makes it easier for the merchers, which are just called flippers now, not harder.
I myself am still not sure whether to vote yes or no for this.

as a older person of this long lasting community from 04 till today and seen what the ge has done for rs2-rs3 i would strongly vote against adding in a ge i would be in favor of having a long distance trade through the trading post and also not having people who keep the private chat off is aggravating to say the least i would love to see it stay they way it is just being in older rs ways i do enjoy using the trading post vs having to endlessly search through varrock or falador trying to find someone to buy or that's selling a item your wanting it makes it easier but ge would make prices change in a way that its no longer a person to person exchange but fluctuate with market prices of people buying and selling also i do agree on making ftp and ptp bank storage at 200 ea slayer should have a right click option for faster training also i dont think the fight cave time is really necessary and time taking to add in that feature could be spent towards something better to further advance the game to bettering it adding a deposit all option to the box would help out greatly also adding a noter npc vs a unnoter to karamja would be more beneficial while adding a price to do that and really lastly adding the feature to ava's accumulator to get ammo u might have lost over a fence you cant get to with in a space or 2 would be a great bonus to the accumulator the rest of the questions i leave to someone else it doesn't really effect me by to much but would really hate to see a ge i think it would break the game to have it added and probably lose interest in playing and canceling subs

Also some more arguments against it:
Coinshare can potentially inject money into the game if it puts in an offer for an invalid price
There is no purpose in owning any sort of supplies/items anymore as you can just instantly get it from a vending machine
There will be no more things such as asking your friend with 90 smithing to make your visage into a dfs, or your hilt into a godsword, you will just sell the visage/hilt to a smither who tries to buy it for a lower price to make a profit.
Ingame shops will have no use anymore, except for iron men.
People won't be self sufficient anymore, for example alching their own slayer drops
Most of the banks will be empty and the whole community will clutter around the big box.

I think I'll be voting no in the end

There's already G.E. you fools it's called RS3 we don't need another RS3 in classic which sadly and too late is already happening because of you RS community you blindly and foolishly vote for everything that is thrown at you and the idea behind no price limit ?!?!?!? LOL! so prices will be so out of whack whats the point of it all ? Trading post failed it's a wannabe **bez which um worked perfectly fine before, we don't need a trading system when one is already implemented. Just sad tbh.

Should have never added that part about if it fails and the Trading Post being updated. You guys pretty much just made sure it will fail. There will be people that dont want G.E. but want updated Trading Post so there is a lot of lost votes. 75% is hard enough to get without splitting up votes. Also when it fails and the vote for the updated Trading Post comes it will probably fail too because people who wanted G.E. will vote no. Have a feeling that was a big mistake but we shall see. I really want the G.E. personally. Hope we can pass it.
