I recently just became a member again after about 2 years. I stopped playing for a few reasons but now I am back and am yet again addicted to old runescape.
I would stick around a lot longer and would
LOVE
for the GE to be in old school. It would make trading much easier and I would not have to keep typing in the same message 1000's of times and spend hours upon hours trying to sell and buy items. It would be very convenient, less aggravating, save time, make the game more fun (in my opinion)

Very convenient because if I needed something I can go to the GE type in the item and buy it right then and there without having to find someone who has the item I am looking for. :)

Save time by buying it at the GE and go on about what I was doing rather then going on a super long adventure for one item or many items.

less aggravating because we wouldn't have to deal with typing in the same message over and over and over and then suffer from carpel tunnel and sore fingers.

Make the game more fun by buying and selling what we need when we need it and then returning to our fun leveling up and awesome adventures!
I'm sure there are many other reasons why the GE would be nice to have but those are my few reasons why I think the Grand Exchange should return to 07 runescape

One additional thing that I'd like to see added to the grand exchange: In the New server, Newbies expect to be able to sell the stuff to make things for more. How about the price of an Item is added the price of the stuff?

Example: In the New Server Grand Exchange, People could sell Feathers for 5 coins, Arrow Shafts for 5 coins, and Bronze arrow heads for 5 coins, while expecting to purchase Bronze Arrows for 5 coins.

In the system that I'd like to see, The system Says to the Seller, "Okay, The base price is 15 coins (Price of the Stuff), How much more to sell it for?" A person is, of course, free to sell items for for down to -(Base Price -1) coins, but I don't know who would.

Meanwhile, the system tells the Buyer, "The stuff to make it costs 15 coins, so how much would you like to offer the Seller for his time , and experience "?

As the inevitable debut of the GE looms, all I can do is provide some suggestions and solutions that I hope Jagex takes into consideration. The GE will be a viable solution only if some or all of the following is done.

1. Make it so that the GE doesn't formulate or set prices (GE values) on items. By doing so, the price can't be easily manipulated, and players won't be coerced into buying or selling at the manipulated "market price" all the time. Also, players will maintain a great degree of control over prices rather than the system telling them a formulated buying or selling price. Instead, the GE or price checker should only provide a price range on an item. That would also eliminate the dreaded hassle of buying or selling at 5% over or under the market price. For example, the price of mind runes would show 3-5 GP instead of 4 GP.

2. Like the TP, the GE should show candidate offers from other players so that players can ultimately decide on the best offer rather than going gung-ho on a totally automated system.

3. Instead of a totally automated system, the GE should have a "Buy from Player X" and "Sell to Player X" option. Afterwards, the money or items can be collected from the collection box or the GE.

4. If players need to price an item, it should be done in the same manner as the GE. It should only include a price range (the minimum and maximum price) without giving an absolute value in a similar fashion as OS Buddy's price checker.

5. The only time the mean price, absolute value, or GE value of an item should be implemented is with Coin Share and Loot Share. Otherwise, buying and selling items should be based on a price range and players' willingness.

6. In the event of a newly-released item, again, no GE-suggested price or market value should be given. It should be entirely up to the players to determine the price range as will all items.

I don't know how, but just about every poll that everyone else wants, i don't.. Sometimes i feel like people just vote for whatever makes the game more convenient to them. But isn't that part of the beauty of osrs? It's supposed to be harder.. if you look through the polls just about every single one making the game easier is primarily voted yes to. anyways.. NO GE
