Well I for one am very pleased to find out that the GE is returning, in my opinion the greatest update in RuneScape. When I got the chance to vote for it, I did it with pride. The game just feels incomplete without it, and all these people deciding that the game sucks and leaving because of it? That's a shame. You can hate the GE all you want, but it shouldn't drive you to leave the game. That's like hating an album because one song on it sucks, or hating a film because there's one really bad scene.
I'd also love Summoning back, as well as the 2008 updated versions of the songs (the original versions of the songs are very dated now if you ask me, especially "Horizon"
. But, I'm sure this stuff has been suggested already. In fact, just restore everything in the game one day before the Dungeoneering update. Dungeoneering was to me, the dumbest update in the game. Unlike the incredibly useful GE, Dungeoneering was unnecessary, overblown, tedious, confusing and just plain strange (in my opinion), in that it was a skill but was more like a mini-game. I didn't leave the game because of it, though. I kept playing the original RS up until mid-2012.
Thus, to me, the best version of RuneScape is the beautiful, diverse 2009-2010 version. And no, I'm not a 13-year old boy. I'm 21 years old, and I started playing the game in 2006. I braved all of the updates - in fact, when the GE came out, I was very pleased, it was as though my prayers had been answered. I hope it gets restored to its original place in Varrock.
