So... what happens if the GE poll misses by 1-2%? What will the Oldschool team be doing about that? I'm sure something like this is very much quite possible and will cause a huge uproar in the community.

Question : Should we introduce the Grand Exchange?
Answer:
No way!
I really like the TP, and the GE is very problematic in RS3 as it's easy to manipulate and sets bogus prices on items. I like the laissez-faire approach of being able to buy or sell my items at any price I desire. Additionally, I play OSR because it's just that. There's nothing like old-school trading where people actually trade each other than dump items into a flawed RS3 system.

Why remove a potentially, great piece of content like the TP rather than improve it? Implementing the ability to post buy offers and send trade offers instead of an automated system. Also, no public chat on means no trade. It's as simple as that.

Question : If question 1 fails, should we update the Trading Post to hide offers from players who've set their private chat to Friends or Off?
Answer:
Yes!
I was always bothered by people having their private chat off when they've posted offers on the TP.

Question : If question 1 fails, should the Trading Post let you click a player's offer to send them a trade request, allowing you to trade with them without meeting up? They would need to be in a bank on the same world as you.
Answer:
Yeah, it should.

I do favor the ability to send 'trade' requests through the post and being able to post 'buy' offers though. Let's steer away from automatic trading as it's too GE-related. :P

All in all, OSR is the best update that happened to RuneScape, and the TP has a lot of potential. It wouldn't be feasible to remove it and add a flawed RS3 system into OSR. The main reason players left RS3 is to escape such systems and to get that nostalgic feel of the golden era of the game before all the new changes that drove players away. Vote
NO
for GE!

- The Dragon Defender would make a nice addition to OSR. Unlike the GE, there's no harm done.

- Increasing the available number of bank slots to 200 would be great.

- As far as answering the other questions that involve other matters that are non-GE related,
YES!
You have my vote. ;)

I am an old school player myself and I have been waiting ages for this update to arrive!

I know that there are a lot of players that are discouraged from getting back into old school because of the current trading mechanics.

So... yes the issues arise that there will be crashes and profits, losses and gains, but overall I am super stoked that this update is within reach.
