No, I didn't click on the tree to unwrap so I guess that's where my items are
Talking to Diango after the event got me the 4 hats and scarves. He didn't have the suit and other items (but obviously I haven't fully unlocked them yet).

People are acting like there was some glitch where people could trade through shops. The shops were, and still are, being heavily botted. It's not like they were selling items to the shop that wouldn't have already been there without the botting, and it's not like they were getting the items any faster than you should have been able to get them. They were only getting the items as fast as they would have got them if the shops weren't being bought out by bots. It's not even like they were botting. It isn't cheating to buy items from shops that are supposed to be stocked with those items. It's supposed to be single player runescape. If it was actually single player than the shops wouldn't be bought out by other players. All they did was give the shops the stock that they were supposed to have in the first place.
You could never buy an item from a shop that it didn't already stock, nor could you ever buy an item from a shop if it was stocked over the default amount. All these people did was bring the stock back to the default amount that it would have been at if it wasn't being botted. If the game were truly single player, like ironman is supposed to be, then the stock already would have been at default without it needing to be filled. In a sense, restocking the store was making the game more like single player than it was before. With quick hopping, even if you buy out the stores entire stock, the stock refills quick enough that you should always be able to go to a world and have it fully stocked. The only reason it never is, is because it's being botted. Not being able to do something because of outside players (especially bots which shouldn't be in the game to begin with) isn't really in the spirit of ironman. Stocking the shops up to default with another account isn't cheating, it's just a tedious solution to a problem that hasn't been fixed, but that I'm sure the oldschool team would fix if they could (I'm talking about botting).
