I believe if we had a balanced variation of GE (i.e. no offline trading, we should be able to trade without being physically adjacent to the other player, and automated trading)

FOR THOSE OF US WHO ENJOY PKING having a more inconvenient means of trade would allow for us to buy and sell supplies more fluidly which would increase the amount of people pking (whether it be multi or edge) rather than struggling to buy a simple weapon or supplies.

This is important.

NO GE! but maybe have it so you can just simply trade through the post but the seller MUST be online to trade. a purple request appear on the sellers chat box: "X wants to trade with you through the Trading Post"
While in the trade screen, the two players can communicate through the trade tab.
Also you MUST have PRIVATE ON in order for your post to show up on the trading post. Very important!

Grand exchange was never a problem, it was the very best update runescape has ever had.
Really though you would have to be living in a rock to realise that the developers won't stop forcing some sort of trading post and right now I am really not impressed by the current trading. It ruined the trading screen, when you have offers put in the trading post which now looks like rs3. Evolution of combat- the combat system is what ruined the game for rs3 it was never the grand exchange.
I hope grand exchange gets released for the best.
hey buddy, go play RS3, it has the GE. have u realized why people play OSRS? because none of that bs in RS3 is in the game! we aren't playing to advance this game back to RS3, SO u need to stop whining and go play rs3 if u want the ge

I understand peoples initial hesitation to the GE, due to wanting the game to be nostalgic and the way it used to be, but by this point having to meet up with people is just getting a little tedious. I too felt at the beginning I did not want a GE but by this point I fully support the idea and truly hope for a poll to pass for it, it just made the game more enjoyable being able to buy almost anything instantly rather than possibly waiting 1+ days for a single item, or not getting it at all.

Yeah... and after a year of having it I'm sure you'd be one of the people saying things are getting "too easy" in oldschool... smh

Please Jagex, don't do this again. We have a chance to make a better game. Don't ruin the integrity of the game by listening to these players. They want everything to be easier. This will kill the breathing world we have. Instead of going out and getting 3 beers and an addy kite for a quest, they will just stand at a box and buy it all. It will take away a lot of the player interaction and what made the game great. next players will complain rc is too hard and demand easier xp and then we have rs3 on our hands again.

That's the complete opposite of what I was trying to say, if anything adding the GE would make old school that little bit easier and I'm for it I feel as though the current trading system is just unnecessarily annoying. Apologies for not being clear on that.

But what if no one is selling an addy kite? You could wait days to just continue on in the quest. If anything, the idea of that deters me and possibly some new potential players from the game.
