I started in 05 and quit when EOC dropped, besides how would that have to do with credibility when I've put far more effort into this game (check my stats) than you have, surely that would make me more credible?

This game isn't supposed to stay outdated and bare, it's a platform for the game to evolve into how we want it to. I'm surprised you can't comprehend the reason that your perspective is the way it is is because of your experience with the game, it's conflicting that you don't put much effort into the game yet stress your opinion like the game is a big part of your life.

Hold on, it is a big part of your life, you don't want your precious childhood notion of RuneScape tarnished, but this is where you set it free and let the people who truly play it with exponential passion dictate its future.

Next we'll have to argue about lodestones being oldschool because the home tele had already been introduced. :@ "Released in '07" is the only valid argument I've heard for GE. And it ignores the fact that the huge newschool movement toward less grind = more fun STARTED with the GE.

Add the fact most players were experienced back then (a fact pro-GE'ers keep presenting completely backwards even though it was proven in polls). The idea was to try to get more new ppl playing the game by making it immediately easier. The result? RS3. Grand Exchange, Lodestones, bonus xp, all that crap. But if you feel EoC was the only problem then face it Legacy is your solution. You can't run away from microtransactions any more than we can run away from bots. Please don't bring your landfills to our game. Keep oldschool green!

The GE is a highly anticipated update with a broad spectrum of benefits, that's the valid argument for it. Honestly, don't worry about lodestones, bonus xp and MTX, there isn't any need for them like there is for the GE and the majority (if not everybody) are against them. Associating the GE with all these things is unreasonable and, not to be brash, only exposes your ignorance.

I'm exposing the GE as a garbage dump for items. The oldschool game doesn't need such. We can hold onto our junk or find people to sell it to, or chuck it into a general store or similar, or drop it on the ground. This game is designed to consume junk, not have it linger for an infinite amount of time in a landfill until somebody digs it up.

Think about that.

It's not ignorance to want to keep some fundamental dynamic of the original game.

You mean, this account that I started 3 months ago? Tell me how long have you been playing the account you're comparing me to? :)

You still have not made a single good reason for the GE besides the fact that you're lazy and convenience is what's important in your life.

All you can do is sling mud and have not once been able to refute the many things I've called you on.

The game is important to me because it was a great culmination of time and hard work. I really appreciate the charming environments, interesting lore, and sometimes hysterical NPC dialogue. I think RS is special because it's the perfect blend of substance and simplicity. The nature of the game has lead to extremely fun interaction with other players as well. Integrity comes first as with all things in my life, then enjoyment has a degree of importance, I'm not worried about my stats or measurable accomplishments like you are. The pursuit of convenience is vain and pointless, as are you.
