I don't really want edge furnace. To me it removes the abandoned, far-away feel from edge for various reasons. Not to mention the old bank I've grown partial to. Perhaps the furnace could be placed elsewhere in the area close to a bank? Possibly beside v west with the anvils? Just a suggestion
I agree with this

omg lol xDDD
I do see where you're coming from, but I'm not exactly talking about just myself in reguards to this update. I chose to put my time into a skill, so I don't believe my own personal time will ever be waste.
All I'm saying is that placing another furnace 5 steps from a bank
might
make some people upset. Namely the high-xp Smithers (not myself) who have had to use the already existing methods that work just fine, e.g. Blast Furnace and Port Phas. I don't see the need to place more content in-game if it runs the risk of destroying pre-existing content.
Maybe there can be a daily toll/fee to enter the Edgeville furnace? So that way if players want to use the new content they can choose to pay, but if not, they can
I didn't get a flame reply to a sarcastic toned post? Well done, Sir.
The people who have a lot of smithing experience from using other methods (obviously, since this isn't released yet) will still continue to have this advantage - and they can move onto using the new method when it's released if it's beneficial for them. I don't see this being an issue for anyone.
It's not an update that will devalue the smithing skill. It will be slightly easier to train, but there are no significant bonuses added.
Same with this snake boss, it looks stupid and doesn't suit OSRS gameplay, really worried about Zeah got a feeling it will be afk training for every skill...

His idea is so stupid, blast furnace isn't really worth doing unless you are poor - in which case you shouldn't be smithing anyway, superheat gold ore to 88 smith then make addy plates to 99. Superheating is well over 100k xp/h (130k/h max efficiency iirc) and addy plates are over 200k/hr...
Smithing is a buyable skill, saying 'I made 65m from blast furnace' is irrelevant because you have to look at the time you spent there. I could make 65m from cutting maple trees, doesn't mean it's worth doing...

No to noted drop, this is OSRS not Easyscape ***

They confirmed Zeah will not be the best exp for any skill. It will provide alternatives, but very few, if any, will be fastest exp in game as they don't want to clean off the current content and have everyone on the new area.
Also, if the skill is the new fastest method in game, it will not be afk unless the nature of the skill is afk.
