i will never vote for a gravestone unless it only protects untradable items such as void, fire cape, imbued rings etc.

death is the only real item sink in the game and unless you want to add something similar graves will only devalue items because no matter where you die 10-15 mins is way to long, heck ive went and made food before going to get items and still made it.

I would definitely be against the inclusion of gravestones. Though I understand the item timing until the server issues get fixed, I think that afterwards it should be reverted back to normal. There must be a penalty for each time someone dies and other should be able to capitalise off of this. If gravestones must be introduced, it would make far more sense for them to be more than a one-time fee, for that makes one's items virtually invincible and thus cause all items to remain in the game until maybe alched.

I'm against the idea of gravestones as they are in rs3.

As much as I hate losing my items on death, I know that the game needs that sort of item sink mechanic, especially for higher profile items, like whips and such.

However, if gravestones are proposed so that they last less time (max 5 min?), only protect untradables, and/or require new purchase after each death, as opposed to a one time purchase, I would be more inclined to allow them.

If they only protect untradables, then no item sink is lost, and if repurchases are required, they also serve as a money sink. I'm sure many players would be willing to pay gold per death to insure they don't lose their fire capes and torsos and such. I know I would!

Yes for gravestones, no to blessings. An hour-long gravestone from being blessed is a ridiculously long time, and it devalues the whole point of buying or earning the expensive gravestones. Repairing a gravestone I'm okay with.

As for people saying things along the lines of OS becoming "easyscape", it already is and has been for a long time with Player-Designed Content. This includes Nightmare Zone rewards and XP, Rooftop Agility, Motherlode Mine, etc. So gravestones isn't going to have much more of an impact on an easier game at this point.

An important thing to also consider, technology is never safe and fail-proof, and you won't know or expect an attack or DC to happen until it's too late and you lose your items because you can't log back onto the servers. This being a browser-mmo we have been and will always continue to have these attacks it's just the way it is, even after Jagex installs these new systems. As long as that's the case you will continue to risk items due to ddos and the disconnects. How I see it, gravestones is a semi-permanent fix to this situation.
