Also, I don't see any mention of a qcape trim to be offered with the diaries? Perhaps upon completion of every hard (or even dare I say it Elite) diary? 'Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.'

I love that they are adding achievement diaries back but the only problem I see is the repeatable task aspect. I just don't want there to be any free experience given out by doing task again. That was one of the new things that ruined rs3 with the evolution of combat. Some passive boost would be nice if it was you didn't have to pay for ships going to karamja for a day or something like that. Free experience will just make the game to easy and i really don't want to see old school runescape become like rs3 where you get free experience from auras and squeal off fortune everyday.

I totally agree with you! The Achievement diaries are awesome, but let's keep the xp earning the same as it is now. It is a lot of work, (especially for those of us who are have to start over again for the third time around), but it is more fun to lvl up by hard labor than by cheap wins on a "Squeal of Fortune".

All looks good except... repeatable tasks.

I hate RS3 for all the daily things it has. Daily challenges for extra XP makes the game a chore instead of something fun. You have to log in daily to get the most XP and always do the same thing. Of course, no one is FORCED to do it but I feel pressured. Instead of spending 10000 hours Dungoneering, I spent a lot less using the Dungeoneering daily challenge and a Sinkhole per day but hated it all the way.

My sole fear with achievement diaries is overpowered rewards. At the time I quit there were only Varrock/Fally/Kara diaries. Falador gave the insane cabbage ring - all of its powers were very useful, two of them extremely so (seriously, that teleport, if it were in a spellbook, would've been one of the most useful ones, and it was given -freely-).

The really troublesome part was that the ring slot is otherwise useless. What're you gonna wear there, a ring of life? Of forging? The fally ring completely obliterated all competition. If it were a platebody/leg, there would've been some choice to it, but having those powers on a ring was a massive power jump for the ring slot. The ring may have been balanced compared to other achievement rewards (it wasn't, it was by far the best), but that's like introducing a cape with +50 slash +40 strength because there's an achievement scimitar with similar stats on it, completely ignoring that other capes don't come anywhere near..

Also, daily **** is ****.
