I'm unsure about having a new continent in old school. Of course as a runescape player I love the ideas of new continents because its a huge update but I also fear big updates messing up the good content already in game.
I like the idea of having a new continent, and it'd show the game is more individual then rs3, and perhaps rs3 would have to create our continent. Unfortunately I am worried about the content of the continent. So here is my feedback:

Port roberts:
This has less information in this dev blog, is there still a rivalry between the town and the gnomes? How important will this town be, what can I do there.

Civitas illa fortis:
There is a lack of information about the actual city, we know it's combat and roman themed but it'd be nice to know more, such as the leader, what you can do in the city etc
The great colosseum: This minigame sounds really good, maybe less people will be in wilderness/bounter hunter but it sounds great. Kind of like fight pits but with money gains.

Great kourend:
"Have you watched/read game of thrones recently?"
This has a distinct game of thrones feeling to it.
I like the idea of helping families to help a city, but I don't really enjoy the idea of decision based gameplay because I don't want to limit my gameplay. Runescape has never limited people in this way for example there are no official classes in the game (unless you count the new ironman mode)
RIP Forums :(
Finally we have signatures in the surprise forum update. I'm Lewis, I play Old School & I've been playing since 2005.

Keruulm & tasakaal:
I really like the idea of a slayer based city that makes use of having a high level agility and strength bonus to get in.
I don't like the idea of adding too many new slayer items and monsters, a few would be nice and perhaps a few more items that give you a slayer bonus but I perfer the idea of slayer tasks - where you have to kill a slayer creature until you get a drop from it.

Paradign of exodus:
This is a great name, and a randomly generated raid dungeon is a nice idea but I want to know how it'd work before signing off on the idea. Will it be like dungeoneering or something else? Will it have rewards? Will it scale to player combat levels. **c

General:
What are the key differences between zeah and the main land? Or will it have the same feel as the main land?
I think more cities with restrictions would be great, for example a firemaking city, or a city where you need to cut down "x" amount of trees to use their services.

While I'm looking forward to a new continent, I just feel the need to ask: How much content will there be that isn't combat-related?

A city with combat requirements, a new duel arena-like thing and the dungeon complex will obviously not be too enjoyable for us skillers. I'mhoping to see something new and enjoyable for us too.

If there could be different tiers of the dungeon or something that a team can choose from, with different requirements in a bunch of stats, that could allow high-level skillers entry too.

I agree, themed cities does sound rather cool. And seeing as the port city is related to piracy and the like, I think this could allow for some interesting thieving content.

I don't know why people are so mad about adding new content into the game because if they don't people get bored because there is nothing to do so it would go out after a year or two and jagex would cancel it because it would be too much money to keep the servers running

These ideas all look great.

My only concern is in regards to decision based gameplay. An idea Would be to have a favor based mechanic where each day or week you can earn favor with each faction in order to receive the benefit from being on their good side and then it resets periodically.

Another idea is for a real roman coliseum like experience. Have 1v1 and group vs group. But add some spice to it. Say range only vs melee only, but scale group sizes to match the combat triangle. Even have a "horde" type scenario where one 120+cb player must take on multiple <70cb players.

With this ENORMOUS continent coming into RuneScape I think this is a golden opportunity for a level 80 tier of melee, ranged and magic based weapons. Especially with the Exodus dungeon. I think it would also be a great idea to add in more cosmetic capes, like the max cape and various other capes that rs3 has to offer. For example: the artisans cape, combatants cape, etc. I'd really love to see those types of thing come into Old School. As much as I love my firecape I would love to strive for a max cape some day. Also, higher level skilling consumables would be nice to see as well for the skillers, like higher level logs, ores, seeds, etc. Maybe some new fish as well with this new port. Just of of my ideas anyway.
