I'd like the dungeon to not feel so forced.

A 5 to 30 player instanced dungeon feels an awful lot like dungeoneering, and I would hate to see cool concepts for monsters and bosses be squandered by a reappearance of that crap-fest of a skill. Just make it into a normal dungeon with interesting challenges to progress through to the boss, not some "room based" freakshow of a dungeon like we saw in dungeoneering.

On top of that, I don't like the idea of the families unless its directly involved in some quest tie-ins. It feels like the whole continent will be turned into a minigame or have that certain vibe, which is for sure not something majority of players want.

Also, introduce some quests (hopefully) to provide some meaningful context to the continent.

Still pretty excited though and I can't wait to hear more.

Gotta agree, I don't like the idea of being 'locked in' to a single family...seems far too limiting tbh. Same with the 5-30 player 'needed' for these dng raids...also too limiting...there's many times when no one I know is on but me, and I h8 being limited due to that....and pugs (pick-up-groups) are notoriously difficult to deal with.

I don't think that it sounds like dungeoneering and I didn't see any mention off rooms. Also the raid dungeon boss is 5-30 man which is meant in the same way as saying that corp is 2-6 man or godwars is 1-4 man.

I will be extremely disappointed if they add this to old runescape because old school runescape is supposed to be like it was in 2007 and if they add this they ruin it. The last thing I would ever want them to really add is things that make the game stupidly easier. For example penguin hunting, shooting stars, evil trees, auras and squeal of fortune for sure. Also adding a new Continent with quest will upset people with the quest skill cape because now they have to go do them. Especially if there is a quest where you have to have all 80 stats to fight the boss. This happened with nomad and it took years for me to finally be able to finish they quest by killing him. Lastly, I would like to point out by adding a new area there will be new ways to get experience faster which could ruin the aspect of being a high level in a certain skill. In RS3 this happened with runespane and getting 99 runecrafting was as high of an achievment as it is in old school runescape right now. So having a new continent is could be a great thing but making a new one could have huge consequences that that could be game breaking. This has already happened with the removal of radom events taking people away if they don't respond to them. Because of that people can afk farm on spiders which ruined the 99 magic skill cape. So if anyone in jagex is reading this and is on the team please be careful of what your changing to the game.

Oh, and the graphics on the pictures seem straight from rs3. Try keeping the graphics 2007-styled :)

FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE SEES THIS. Exactly. RS3 looks horrible with its obnoxious color palette, overshading, and facet-y art style. Looks like something by friggin Disney, man.

I should be able to count the pixels ;)

I am really excited for a new place to explore! Now I know the dev blog is not detailed and I don't want to jump to conclusions, but based on just what I've read:

Port Roberts
- Cool. But we have a friggin pirate quest line and Mos le'harmless and all that. I hope this is a different kind of piracy.

Civitas illa fortis
- This sounds useless. Endurance test? Sounds like Dominion Tower / NMZ. Can't you add the spectator and tournament feature to Duel Arena? Think about NMZ vs Duel Arena vs Civitas, and if we need all 3.

Great Kourend
- Prifddinas elf clans come to mind when reading this. The icons look like the families specialise in combat, fishing, smithing, runecrafting/magic, and farming/herblore. Sounds a bit like a rip off the elf clans. Maybe add a very expensive cash fee which increases as you progress through the family content? If you cannot switch families I would probably wait till others try it first before I pick.

Keruulm & The Tasakaal
- Tasakaal sounds like TokHaar-Kal. TzHaar rip off, we've already seen volcano content. You can open the TzHaar city in OSRS (as it is closed off to players) and not do anymore volcano content. The death-life balance lore is interesting though, keep that!

Paradigm of Exodus
- DON'T MAKE IT LIKE DUNGEONEERING. This looks interesting anyway. It's difficult to find RS3 Dungeoneering teams becaause no one does it after 99/120 - I hope this isn't like that. It would be great if you could solo it, but the difficulty decreases with more people?

I'm really disappointed this seems basically like an RS3 rip off (elf clans, Tzhaar, possibly dungeoneering) with a Duel Arena expansion and another Pirate area. You have the chance to make something new, something alien!

I think you really should do the Underwater City - that's something RS3 doesn't have and you could come up with a different type of gameplay, perhaps new lore, etc.

There are some loose ends in OSRS that you can consider using. Instead of adding a ton of new races, you could use pixies, dryads, etc. You could do a quest about King Vallance being on a secret mission in Zeah. The Karamja gods could have Zeah origins, etc etc etc

* Kudos Island (Museum Curator mentions an "island to the north of Morytania&quot ;)

* Menaphos

* Bow-swords (Devious Mind quest)

* TzHaar main city (Guards do not trust you so you cannot pass)

* Lizardmen (BTS 31 Mar 2004 - we have models)

* Blood and Soul Altars (Blood should be Morytania, fits area/lore well)

* Fairy dragons (K'*lik and Mr Mordaut[1/2])

* King Vallance of Falador (missing)

* Karamja Gods

* Mithril Dragon door

* Nex door

* Races with a lack of backstory: Raharni Wildcat, Pixies, Mindslayers, Cosmic Being, Centaurs, Dryads, Skavids
