I wonder about something..

What if you went on your main account with a full inventory of high level implings and went to PuroPuro, waited for a guard imp to steal the impling from your main's inventory, and then caught the implings on your ironman, because they would be released in to the air*****; Would this be possible?

There will be abuse everywhere, this game mode means nothing since first abuse is committed, and this is already done

How do you use the same account with OSRS and RS3? Is this because the games are completely seperated?

They're actually not separated at all. That's why you can't log into the two games at the same time. (We'd like to get that changed too.)

Basically, each account has one character profile. The character profile contains RS3 stats and items and variables, plus OSRS stats and items and variables. But it only contains one set of each.

What if you just, like, added a suffix to the e-mails, with a special symbol. f.ex: "myemail@runemail(dot)net#1".

So you're effectively describing a separate account, but linked (in Jagex's databases) to your original account, so you only had to pay for one of them. Yeah, that's quite a big departure from what the systems currently support.

(pls dont hate me)

Okay, since you said 'pls', I won't. :)

Remember, just about anything's possible. But some things would take a lot of dev-time. Okay, no-one's afraid of spending dev-time on a job, but any time spent doing one job is time that can't be spent on any other job. So a huge job - such as revamping all the modules that would be affected by a major change to the saved-game setup - might take so long that it'd conflict with other things people need the engine team to do.

More seriously, if you're going to propose ways for the engine team to change stuff, you'll do better discussing it with them. Especially now we have one of them.

I've noticed there's still a small delay after typing in your pin correctly.

Yes. That's not going away. The buttons are smoother when you're typing the PIN, but the client still has to transmit your PIN choice to the server, and wait for the result to come back. If we did the entire PIN check on the client, a modified client could bypass the PIN check.

Mod Ash,

Not sure if this was answered earlier for OSRS but I know that in RS3 if an ultimate ironman buys an item from the new NPC in edgeville on death they will be reverted to a normal iron man.

My question:

How are the death mechanics for an ultimate ironman? You die and lose all your items I understand that, but does the account get locked out from playing osrs ever again? Or will you be reverted back to a normal ironman to continue playing OR sent back to tutorial island? I haven't heard much about it from the OSRS team. Thank you in advance!

Keep being awesome!

Hey Mod ash, does looting bag exist for ironmen? Can you use it?

It exists and they can put stuff in it. But since the bag just delivers things to the bank, and ultimate iron men can't use the bank, it's not going to help them very much.

Yup. Just like if you were skulled and didn't have Protect Item enabled.

No. You respawn at your respawn point, as usual, and carry on playing. You can even try to run back and collect your stuff.

No, you remain as an ultimate iron man, and you don't go to Tutorial Island ever again.

This is different from RS3. That's basically because OSRS has very different death behaviour to RS3, so we had no reason to make our Ultimate Iron Men work like whatever they've got.
