People seem to think the shields are too overpowered and i somewhat agree with them. Someone mentioned they block dmg from all combat styles and i think there is where the fix can be. Make different shields block different attack styles. Pretty much like the dungeoneering shields. For example;
#1 block 20% melee dmg, 10% mage dmg and 0% range (mage shield)
#2 block 20% range dmg, 10% melee dmg and 0% mage (melee shield)
#3 block 20% mage dmg, 10% range dmg and 0% melee (range shield)

This way one would always have a weakness against a certain att style.
This could also come with the divine's pray drain effect or the elysian's effect of not activating at a 100% rate.

This way the shields are good, (probably the best still) but always have a weakness.

I think a questpoint requirement is a good option because it's something like elite clues, it is something for the elite players, but it's also something everybody should be able to do so a 200+ questpoint req is good imo because most people will have barrow gloves which are 176quest points when done. So that's only 24 quest points more, no big deal. Also imo you should just release the shield like how they were released. Yes they are a little overpowered, but so is an AGS. And it's also a fact that the sigils are a super rare drop and you also have to get a holy elixer and a spirit shield to make an arcane or whatever. So imo it's no problem to release them like the used to be.

Honestly, no to the sheilds, they are far too good for oldschool especially since there's no turmoil/chaotics and overloads to kind of balance things.

Reward suggestion:


I understand the game needs to move forward and i would like to see some new best in slot boots or even a better mage armor like subjugation robes. Perhaps even a better helmet? the best we currently have is neitiznot, and penance helms. I think it's about time for a helmet with higher str / attack bonuses

- steadfasts, glaivens and ragefires.
-Also a corp pet.
- someone mentioned a kit that lets you upgrade your zamaorak spear to be slightly stronger. ( Give it a small str and attack boost )
- a bandos/armadyl tier mage armor
- Better helms than neitz/ penance helms ( one helm for str another for attack)

Requirements to access:


- Fire cape
- 100+ combat
- Barrows gloves

i would love to see a return of all spirit shields the only one I can see nerfing would be divine the elyisians effect was never O.P. so maybe lower the divine to make the dmg redux like only 10-15% instead of 25% across the board. also I think corp should have a 100% drop that can be traded to a npc at the corp cave for things used for skilling bars/ores/pess/potion seconds/logs/planks/and maybe some cosmetic gear. or just update his drop table to drop a lot of noted supplys like more of a variety than before. I cant wait for the return of corp I have logged many hours there and is by far one of my favorite bosses pre eoc

I would like the 4 spirit shields to be released. I do think that divine and elys will need to be weakened though since it would cause a crash in gwd items. It would be cool to see a new lvl 75 weapon for range as well. Or a new helmet that gives attack or str bonuses or both. Something better than Neitz helm and it has to look good with bandos armour. Maybe some new boots that are better than dragon and give str bonus.
Maybe some new armour that gives the same defense as torags without having to repair it and gives attack bonuses instead of str like bandos.

Requirements to wield the shields should still be 75 defense/75 prayer and completion of the new quest.

I think the drop rate for divine should be something like 1 in 60k kills and elys should also be like 1 in 50k kills since they are both so good. I want them to be very rare to see in the game.

Back in the real 2008, people had elysians a few days after corp was released and I do not think that should happen. It needs to take a long time to obtain it.

As for the quest, the requirements should be very high like level 75 mining and agility. Maybe 75 construction and 75 farming also. I think the combat requirement should be like level 80 so some lower level skillers or pures can participate in the quest.

I think at least 110 quest points and completion of legend's quest should be a requirement.

Just bring TDs after corp, make them drop claws, but make claws have the same attack speed as ags (so you cant double spec insta KO as easily).

Edit: You could also make it so the first hit from spec appears, 1 tick later the second hit appears, 1 tick later the third, etc... This wouldn't change how useful they are for PvM but would reduce the claw rushers in PvP because you would have more time to heal.

-Quest cape or quest point requirement
-Slayer requirement (to get of rid of nmz prods)
-Make it take some skill (sit and eat aka corp)
-Make the drops more reasonable instead of 1/750 x2, 1/2500, and 1/3500 (sigils)
-Possibly replace spirit shields with other drops?
